It’s been a while since I’ve shared a life update with you, and I wanted to take a moment to let you in on what’s been unfolding behind the scenes.

This year has been deeply focused on healing—particularly my chronic health journey. After living with the lingering effects of a severe concussion I experienced back in March 2020, I’ve finally been able to take some major steps toward treatment and recovery.

So far, I’ve undergone six treatments on my cervical spine, and while the process has been intense, exhausting, and at times overwhelming, it’s also brought real change: less daily pain and hopefully a better quality of life. These may seem like small shifts on the surface, but to me, they’ve been profound.

I’m learning to see healing not as a destination but as a path—one that unfolds slowly, with care and patience. Even though this may be a lifelong journey, every small improvement counts. And I celebrate each one.

Thank you for continuing to be here, for resting with me, and for being part of this community. Your presence means more than you know.

And now for some Aatma Life news!!!

I’m so happy to share that a new season of The Yoga Nidra Podcast will soon be here!

These past few months I’ve been very still. I’ve been feeling less motivated, less creative. And instead of trying to force myself into creating something when I really wasn’t in the mindset to be creating, I decided to be still. To just take that step back and breathe. And in this stillness a lightbulb suddenly went off. And another. And another. I felt the creativity and direction coming back. Sometimes we just need that stillness to get back into the momentum of things. This is your reminder that it’s perfectly okay to be still.

With the discovery of quantum physics and recent advances in neuroscience we can begin to unravel some of our most enduring assumptions about human nature. Quantum physics has revealed that we live in a participatory universe — one that is unpredictable and creative. The sophisticated new tools of neuroscience (especially those which allow us to see inside the brain) show us the intimate connections between thought, emotion and experience. These new insights lead us to the understanding that human nature itself is not fixed but can be changed at will. It is our conditioning which determines our behavior; if we invest more energy in changing our internal environment then this influences both how we feel and what actions are possible for us. Changing these conditioning factors opens a wide range of possibilities for our lives.

We have the ability to decondition aspects of us that we have tossed aside on the viewpoint of human nature. We can take back control and rearrange our reality to what we desire and no longer be a slave to previous conditioning. Are you ready to take back control?

Fear and doubt can be so debilitating. They can prevent us from moving forward. I know for me it’s definitely been a huge factor in continuing to take action in my business and in creating my offers. It’s scary doing new things and the discomfort is not fun. But we have a choice. Give in to the fear and stay where we are right now, stuck and stagnant. Or push through that resistance and see the change in our lives that we want to to see.

The new moon is Pisces is a potent time for intention setting. For creating that abundance mindset so you can dispel the fear and doubt. Yoga Nidra is a powerful way to connect to the new moon energy and set these intentions into the deepest layers that make up you.

Join me tonight for a live virtual new moon yoga nidra at 8 PM EST. Link in bio to register. See you there 😊

Sometimes the hardest thing to do is to just stop caring.

But this could be the best way to love ourselves.

To stop caring what someone else thinks or wants from you. To stop feeling the need to explain your behavior and decisions and choices and history and personality.

What if someone else's opinion of you would be as useless as a stone thrown into a river? It can cause some ripples, but eventually it will go away and you'll barely remember it.

So are you ready to take the uncomfortable action because you are so damn worthy of your own love?

This month in The Aatma Practice, we are getting raw with Self-Love and spending a delicious 4 weeks on loving ourselves more and giving ourselves the compassion and kindness we deserve. If this calls to you, click the link in my bio to learn more.

Your journey is limitless and endless. The destination is just another step to something greater and vaster.

Imagine if you created your next five years on purpose, with the help of not just good intentions but every intention. What would you wake up for? Who would you call? Whose work would you support? What would make this future most meaningful to you?

Sankalpa is a word that comes from Sanskrit, meaning "intention." It has many uses in yogic practice, but can be thought of as the single-pointed focus one needs to execute any goal. Once a sankalpa is set, you must allow it to support you and lead you.

Sankalpas are the very core of our being's intentions in this world, they're our will power. In Hinduism they are the embodiment of the citta-vrtti, or one's thoughts and feelings. A sankalpa can be a simple prayer or mantra, but when they are brought to fruition the results are powerful magic.

In my own life, I have been experiencing a very strong force within me that has been guiding me with great focus and clarity. For the past year, wherever I go and whatever I do, this force is there with me. Yoga Nidra has provided me with a practice to setting and embodying powerful sankalpas .

Yoga Nidra is the practice of conscious sleep.

When you are practicing yoga nidra your body is lying down but your mind is awake and alert.

In this practice, one sinks into a deep meditative state for a set period of time. In that time the yogi will release all thoughts from their mind and focus on a single sankalpa .

This practice allows you to drop into the very essence of your being. It brings you to the core of your will power, creativity, and intuition.

If you haven't tried out yoga nidra, I offer yoga nidra through my podcast, The Yoga Nidra Podcast, and through my exclusive membership The Aatma Practice. It is such a transformative and powerful tool that I couldn't even imagine life without now.

I am of high value. My body feels a lot of resistance to these words. My mind starts having a sort of tug-o-war on whether it should lean into the inspired confidence of these words and the worthiness that comes with it or fall back into the comforts of fear and doubt.

When you've seen yourself in a certain way in the past, it's hard to see yourself a different way in the present or in the future.

Perception is relative and what really matters here is that you create your value and no one can take that from you. What you feel and think on the insider is what you will see on the outside. Your value does not correlate to just physical looks, intelligence, or any one specific thing. It has nothing to do with the external reality and everything to do with how you pericieve, think, and fee about yourself when it comes to your value.

Use these questions as a starting point to get real, raw, and deep with yourself. You are valuable and you are worth it.

If you're only focusing on the future and not learning from the past, you will never be able to end the cycles that constantly show up in your life that don’t serve you. You'll continue to make the same mistakes, live the same scenarios, attract the same kinds of relationships, and you won't be able to improve on your current situation.

One way to break this cycle is by learning from your past experiences. This can involve reflecting on your past failures (which I like to call lessons) and successes and understanding why they happened. You can also learn from the experiences of others, whether it's through books, articles, or talking to someone you trust.

But learning isn't just about understanding what happened in the past. It's also about applying that knowledge in the present and future. For example, if you know that you tend to get into relationships with people who are emotionally unavailable, you can work on being more aware of this pattern. Or if you have a history of making impulsive decisions, you can start to implement a waiting period before taking any kind of action.

Learning from your past is a powerful way to break the cycles that don't serve you and improve your life in the present and future. It is such an important aspect of intention setting as well. So don't be afraid to explore your history and see what lessons you can learn!

We dive deep into both Reflections and Intentions in The Aatma Practice. To learn more about this membership and how you can join in, check the link in my bio.
