🌱✨ Liberty Middle School students have been busy bees, and just look at the amazing harvest they've achieved! 🌾 They’ve also embraced their roles as plant identifiers, creating some beautiful projects along the way. Can you spot the leaves they used for inspiration? šŸƒ

Plus, they've harvested seeds to prep for next season! 🌼🌿
What do you think they'll grow next?

Welcome back to school! Our third grade classes started off strong with a lesson that combines reflection on personal and group qualities, values, rights and responsibilities, and biodiversity of people, plants and animals.

These topics reflect the learning go tracks for the semester related to science study of inheritance and traits, to social studies content on geography and to International Baccalaureate concepts of Who We Are.

Our students agree that we all have the right to education, a clean healthy planet and food! It is our responsibility to care for each other.

Our students will be studying vocabulary and concepts related to characteristics (ways to describe things) of people and plants.

There are many things to observe and classify. Many characteristics are shared between people and plants. Can you name a few?

Our Story

Plants are amazing!

I love to get my hands dirty working and playing with plants! "During the day" I'm an environmental educator, teaching students about our interdependent relationship with nature. Plants are extraordinarily versatile with many useful properties, able to therapeutically affect our bodies and minds to soothe, stimulate, clean, calm, tone and heal as needed.

I started making natural products in 2001 while I was a preschool teacher. One day as I cleaned my classroom I realized that the products we used in efforts to clean were actually toxin-filled and potentially harmful. I thought about the chemical-covered surfaces we played, eat and slept on, and the toys that the toddlers would invariably put into their mouths when I wasn’t looking. So I decided to do something about it. My studies in herbology and essential oils helped me create a non-toxic cleaner that quickly became popular among the other teachers. It was made from natural ingredients and left a great scent in the air instead of a chemical fog -- and it was effective! And when my goddaughter got a common hair condition from school, a simple recipe of plant-based essential oils worked faster, and most important, it was safer than the harsh (and more expensive) chemical ā€œfixesā€ we'd applied before. Plants have been in use for thousands of years and are a natural alternative to the chemical–based items we normally buy.

Beazer's Garden Body & Bath products are made with pure essential oils, organically grown herbs and other plant-based ingredients. They do not contain harsh chemicals, preservatives, artificial colors or fragrances and are safe to use around your children, home & pets.
