We’re keeping the Opposite Action momentum going. This week’s Nightly Color Walk prompt is Cool Colors, look for 4 shades of blue or green on a 5-10 minute evening walk. Street signs, porch lights, evergreens, team logos and count ’em as you go. Tiny walk, real mood lift.

How to join
• Walk 5–10 minutes, any pace
• Spot 4 different shades of blue/green
• Share 1 photo or a one-line reflection and tag us
• Use

Stay warm out there and choose well-lit routes, bring a friend/pet, wear reflective gear or try a “window walk” indoors if going out isn’t an option this week.

Snap a pic and tag us!

How to do it (quick):
• Walk 5–10 minutes, any pace
• Spot 3 red items
• Share 1 photo or a one-line reflection
• Use

Choose well-lit routes, bring a friend/pet if you can, or do a “window walk” from indoors.

Dark evenings got you down? Join our Nightly Color Walk—a simple, 6-week community challenge that pairs a short evening walk with a fun color prompt each week. It’s a tiny act of Opposite Action that can lift your mood, build routine, and get you out the door, no special gear required.

How it works
• When: Evenings, any day that works for you (program runs for 6 weeks)
• Where: Your neighborhood, local park, or an indoor “window walk” if needed
• What to do: Take a 5–10 minute walk and spot the week’s color (we’ll post it every Monday). Snap a pic and tag us.
• Share: Post a photo or write one line about what you noticed. Use
• Giveaway: Every tagged post = 1 entry in our end-of-program prize draw.

Why it helps
Small movement + mindful noticing can shift your evening mood and help break the “stay in” cycle.

Keep safe out there
Choose well-lit routes, bring a friend or pet, wear reflective gear if possible, or do an indoor “window walk” instead.

✨Awareness Grant Recipient✨

Today, we are highlighting one of our Summer 2025 grant recipients: Freedom Behavioral Health Solutions, led by Laura Alton. They received a $5,000 grant that will be used to educate the community on new treatment options for mental health.

Access to information can be just as important as access to care. This funding helps Freedom Behavioral Health Solutions share knowledge about innovative treatments, giving people in our community the tools they need to make informed decisions about their mental health.

Grants like this are only possible because of your support. Follow our page to see more stories like this and the real impact LightMHK grants are making in our community.
