Ever wake up clenching your jaw? đŹ
That tight, achy feeling in the morning is often your nervous system stuck in stress mode â even while you sleep.
Two of my favorite acupuncture points for this:
⨠Ear Shen Men â located on the upper inner part of the ear, in a small triangular hollow near the top (called the âSpirit Gateâ). In auricular acupuncture, this point is famous for calming the nervous system, reducing stress, and helping the body shift into rest-and-digest mode. When the mind settles, the jaw often softens too.
⨠ST 7 â found just in front of the ear, in the slight depression that appears when you clench your teeth. This point directly helps release tight masseter muscles, ease TMJ discomfort, and improve circulation to the area.
One point calms the system.
One point releases the muscle.
Together? Magic for jaw tension.
