HIGHLIGHTS 1 from S.C. Statehouse:

Matteo & Minka of the Clarendon County Sheriff's Office,
participated in the "Victims Matter Rally and Advocacy Day"! We were there to support victims, other advocates, chaplains, therapy dog programs and speak to our legislators about victims rights.

Everyone met in the State House Lobby to hear several speakers, including elected officials, Sarah Ford (SCVAN), Sara Barber (SCCADVASA). Our hearts were touched and strengthened by another speaker, Evelyn Mitchell, a survivor whose advocacy resulted in the establishment of the r**e kit tracking database!

Our networking was well worth it today because we will be bringing more awareness of Victim's Rights and Advocacy back into Clarendon County.

Matteo & Minka are on their way to the Columbia State House for the “Victims Matter Rally & Advocacy Day”!

We are going to talk to our state legislators about victim’s rights as well as to support and comfort survivors in their quest for justice.

Matteo & Minka of the Clarendon County Sheriff's Office visited an amazing group of very smart students from the Clarendon County 4-H Club. We were very impressed by this group. You are looking at the future Clarendon County Community Leaders!!!

4-H helps youth find their spark, build real world skills and become resilient, adaptable, lifelong learners.

For our youth the road ahead may be challenging, yet 4-H'ers are succeeding. Data shows that compared to their peers they're:

2x more likely to have the goal of being a leader;
3x more likely to participate in community service; and
2x more likely to report living life with intentionality and purpose.

The 1st annual Clarendon County March into Awareness Community Resource Fair was a great opportunity to network with over 60 other community programs. Go Clarendon County!

Clarendon County School District is excited to announce our 1st Annual March Into Awareness Community Resource Fair in partnership with SC Vocational Rehabilitation!

Join us to connect with nearly 60 community partners offering resources for education, job training, family & youth programs, housing & financial support, health & wellness, and more. Matteo & Minka of the Clarendon County Sheriff's Office participated yesterday for Hero's Day at Once Upon A Child/Sumter's Grand Opening Week. "Find your kid's favorite, gently-used apparel, equipment, shoes and toys and more for less!"

Thank you Amanda Springs Kelly for inviting us to participate! We had so much fun!

Matteo, of the Clarendon County Sheriff's Office, spent some time yesterday with Grades 7-12 students from Clarendon Hall at the school's annual College & Career Fair. Some students asked some great questions about law enforcement opportunities for their possible future endeavors.

Matteo & Minka of the Clarendon County Sheriff's Office want to say thank you again to the Ambassadors (R.A.'s), Girls in Action (G.A.'s) and Mission Friends of the First Baptist Church of Manning for their generous donation of 180 stuffed animals. Deputy Danback's office was decorated by some fellow co-workers with some of the animals and thank you cards from the youth groups. ALL stuffed animals will be used by the law enforcement officers when encountering youth in stressful or traumatic situations. God Bless all the youth groups involved! Thank you for supporting our law enforcement!
