Rustic Strength manufactures high-purity, toxin-free refillable plant-based cleaning + wellness products. With hundreds of bulk refill locations from Hawaii to the East Coast, you can sustainably refill. My husband and I started this company to reduce toxins in our own life. The difference between our products vs. others on the market is that we use highly concentrated active ingredients that are sourced with no impurities. We strictly avoid harsh allergenic chemicals and the processes that produce known carcinogens and hormone disruption. Our products are all phthalate-free, paraben-free, phosphate-free, SLS-free, SLES-free, and what we like to say, "simply worry-free". We didn’t sweat when New York recently placed restrictions on the sale of cleaning products containing high levels of the known carcinogen 1,4 Dioxane. Where many big brands fell short of the standard and lost public trust, we were able to gain it by not having this impurity. We were the first manufacturer to implement a closed loop process. In our "Close The Loop Program", we wash and sanitize previously loved containers and send them back to customers. Most of our products are produced daily at our family-run factory in The Ozarks, USA — arriving to directly you made the same week. While with larger companies product may have sat on shelves for up to a year.

Our Story

First came the black sunk in eyes, next itchy, painful break outs all over his body, and finally he turned blue! This is what we dealt with for YEARS with my son. He was allergic to his environment. We removed all the carpet from the house (including area rugs), we covered all his bedding with protective coverings, we switched everything we used on him and around him. Some changes would help for a little while, but he still would have major issues out of no-where. I remember one time driving home with him from kindergarten and I could hear him struggling to breath in the back seat. I reached for his inhaler and realized it wasn’t in my car. The PANIC took over. This is how we have lived for years. Never knowing what or when he would react to something.

Fast forward to my son turning 15, he started driving like most normal kids do. I would get into the driver’s seat after him and place my hands on the steering wheel and it would be sticky. I finally asked him what was up. He said, my hands and feet sweat all the time. I was in shock. How did I not know this? Around this same time, I started having hormonal issues. I was 42 years young and Doctors wouldn’t even entertain the idea that I could be perimenopausal or struggling with hormone imbalance because I was active, and I ate right.

I started looking into what causes hormonal imbalances and what we were doing to aggravate the situation. Turns out, there are a lot of endocrine disrupters used in a LOT of products. It was super hard finding products we could use that were not only safe for us BUT also safe for the environment.
