“Apothalinea” is a portmanteau that describes how I wanted to live life. A “Portmanteau” is just a fancy way of saying: a word that blends the sounds of two words, and combines the meanings of two words, into one. (...Do I need to explain that? )
Apotheosis is a word that describes a "deification." Ok yes, it’s a little odd, and definitely not in the "literal" sense... but hear me out. If we don't love and treat ourselves like the magical incredible souls that we are, who will? If we don't believe we deserve it, why would anyone else? It always starts with us. Alinea is an old typography term for "the beginning of a new thought process." You know the paragraph symbol? That is an "Alinea." Each day is a new day, a new "paragraph," if you will. It's a new chance that brings new hope. A chance to do things differently, perhaps something the best version of ourselves would do. This is Apothalinea. rRsing above what tries to hold you down, and actively striving to be the best version of yourself. We aren't perfect of course, and that is OK. Understanding all of that- That is the light. The light that liberates us from the "should be's" and allows us to just BE. Be inspired by the light. Apothalinea is a small batch, hand-poured, cruelty-free product infused with mostly love. Sometimes it’s just straight WTF. Each product may have variations in appearance, which is the result of a unique handmade product. I hope that this brings as much joy into your home as it brings me in creating it! PS. Covered in mud and gratitude. Thank you to all my favorite people, you know who you are! Seeing your faces, catching up on stories of Music, Travel, In&Out, making fun of the horrible scents I’ve created and celebrating the wins both in candle scents, and in life…..this market year has come to an end! Special thank you to crew for all your hard work and hospitality putting on such an incredible market!! This has become family over the last 5 years, I can’t wait to see y’all in 2026 ❤️
I don’t have any scheduled holiday markets yet, but I hope to get my foot into one in Dec. In the meantime, let’s keep in touch❤️

Saturday (10/25) is the LAST market of the regular season !! I know the weather report says it’s going to be an “atmospheric river”…. But we are Washingtonians. We aren’t scared of a “little water”

I’m raising $ for .
If you’ve been with me for a while, you may remember every August I spent a weekend raising $ for Eastern Oregon Humane Society in honor of my dad. He saved every homeless animal that looked at him with sad eyes and a wagging tail.
Well, I’m a little late this year, but I’m here nonetheless. I’ll continue this fundraiser until 10/11-and will be back with more fall candles 10/11 from 9am-2pm! ❤️

We’re finally back Saturday! Those who know me, will see that it looks a little different this year. I’ve been hyper focused on small batch, experimental fragrances, so you’ll see some of the tried and true scents we all love, and a lot of new, limited edition, small batch releases. I love experimenting with blends, and I love the feedback you give me in the blends! It’s like taking you on my journey. Adventure is always better with a friend!

It’s been a while. And boy have I missed y’all!! Your girl got SICK for some months….and that was scary. My family have been SO supportive and understanding, allowing me to prioritize my health until I could return. I can’t even begin to tell you what this means. I’m ELATED to be back at market starting THIS SATURDAY! 7/26, I’m coming with 100 + candles, new scents, all from the mad candle lab-small batch, no more than 6 of each were made. All marked, numbered and dated, as you would expect from me. Limited edition and classics….even if you don’t need a candle, COME VISIT! I’d love to see your faces, steal a hug or just a smile. It’s been way too long❤️

Full of sarcasm, humor and hope, Apothalinea (formerly Authentwicks Candle Co) became a passion project to help combat PTSD, depression and severe anxiety. Through that process I began a love affair with aromatherapy and light. I mean seriously -- who doesn't love candles… am I right?
I love how the right scent can bring back a memory, make you smile on a rainy Monday, help you focus on your breath when your anxiety takes the wheel. (aka: calm the fk down) Lighting a candle can bring you a sense of calm, nostalgia, safety. The warm flickering of that light reminds me to be grateful. There are also scents that run my dog out of the room from sensory overload and p**s off my husband because our house smells like Bath and Body Works has crapped all over our home. It’s all about balance.
And while there are a million candle companies out there, how do you stand out? Throughout my mental health journey I have discovered that the only thing you can try to be is the best version of yourself. (S**t. I struggle with that every day, who doesn’t? Am I worth exercising today or can I just not put on pants?) And with all the sarcasm and humor that carried me through life's challenges -- I began expressing these discoveries as unapologetically "me", through light.
Through this journey, Apothalinea was born.
