Week 4 of 13 in my current program and it’s “Deload Week”. So same intensity but less work/load.
TBH, my initial thoughts were to skip this week and move into the next phase which is more intense. BUT, I need to practice what I preach to my fitfam… rest and recovery are just as important (if not more) as the work itself. We are constantly breaking our bodies down, so we need to be able to let it repair in order to reach our peaks in the next phase. Otherwise, we risk injury & burnout which will just set us back on our journey!

🤔I’m curious… How often do you incorporate rest days or active recovery days in your routine? What is your favorite way to refuel and replenish your body?

It’s been a week since I’ve had a drink and I honestly can’t remember the last time I could say that. I’m not really sure where I am going with this journey, but I do know that it feels great to not wake up feeling s**tty and to sleep like a baby. Oh and my grocery bills are wayyyy less 😂

I do plan on enjoying some cold drinks today on the beach, but not because I feel like I need to or because I’m bored. Again, not really sure where this will lead me, just taking things day by day! As always, appreciate all your amazing messages and encouragement. You guys are the best ❤️

Focus on TODAY.
This is what I’ve been doing for the past week or so. Trying not to get overwhelmed by tomorrow or the next day. Just living today and being the best version of me.
For those who haven’t been following along in my stories, I am on a journey to quit alcohol. Not because I am an alcoholic, not because someone told me to… simply because I feel like it doesn’t serve me well. It takes more than it gives. I honestly don’t know if I can do it (and most of the time I don’t want to do it) but I am willing to try.

I am super thankful for all of the messages of encouragement and especially the messages from those who feel the same way and are going through something similar. The feeling of not being alone in this helps more than ever.

Y’all it’s only Day 2 of my latest program, and I’m already OBSESSED!
I am sore (like a good sore) and crazy motivated!
Not sure about you, but I get bored pretty easily! 😂 So I’m super grateful that we always have new content and workouts to follow. And amazing trainers who show you exactly what to do!

Friendly Friday reminder… Do NOT compare your day 1 with someone else’s day 1500. (Or any other day for that matter)

My day 1… I used 5 LB weights, I could barely do push-ups on my knees, I couldn’t hold a plank for even 10 seconds. Oh and I HURT. Like “can’t sit on a toilet”hurt.

But that struggling body took me to where I wanted to be. So I embraced it. And kept showing up. And eventually I increased the weights, got up on those toes, and held that plank for the full minute. And I still hurt 😂

So don’t get discouraged… just love where you are in your journey. Treat your body with the respect it deserves. Fall in love with the process, and the results will follow!

“How can I do what you do if I’m not even at my goal?”

Oh I’ve heard this soooo many times before… ladies who are so interested in coaching but decide to wait because they need to get “fit” first.

Listen… your struggle is your STORY. And your story is an inspiration. That is what people need. Not someone with 6 pack abs telling you what to do.

I saw my coach struggling… with her workouts, with her nutrition, with her children, s**t with LIFE! But guess what??! She SHOWED UP. And it was her struggle and persistence that inspired me to get started on my journey. I never once noticed her muscles and abs. (And they were there 😂)

So before you count yourself out, ask yourself if your story and your journey could maybe inspire someone else. Because that is truly what we do. Show up for ourselves and show others to see the same potential In themselves. Always here to chat! ☺️👏🙌

I love being a mom. I love being a mom. I love being a mom.
Ahhhhhh it was a hard morning. I mean in one moment she is stealing my phone, acting all cute and having a photo shoot… and the next she is this little demon child with no respect. I think one of my biggest fears is that I’m not doing my best in raising her to be the best person possible. Like I don’t want to raise an a$$hole 😂!!! God, it is hard!

Shoutout to my coach community and fit fam for all the nice messages this morning. Y’all helped me so much! Not that I want anyone to struggle, but it’s so nice knowing that you are not alone when it comes to this stuff! It’s crazy how I met some of my closest friends through the internet and this coaching opportunity! So grateful for y’all! 😘
