Today is National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day.

Marriage and relationships do not discriminate against HIV.

The second highest rates of HIV occur among African American women, followed by Latina women in heteros*xual relationships.

Being in a relationship does not automatically equal protection.

Protecting your health means:
• Getting tested regularly
• Having honest conversations with your partner
• Advocating for yourself even when it’s uncomfortable

And if you ever have concerns about trust, infidelity, or your s*xual health, PrEP is a powerful prevention & safe option.

Your health deserves honesty, protection, and peace of mind. ❤️

Share this with a woman who needs the reminder:
Love should never replace protection.

Time will always reveal what chemistry tries to distract you from. ✨

90 days isn’t about control…. it’s about clarity.

Be honest… could you do 90 days? 👀

This video is old…
but apparently the lesson is not.

Not him saying “just the tip”
but getting quiet when you say “When was your last test?”

If he wants access to your body
but avoids accountability for his s*xual health?

That’s a blazing red flag 🚩

Let me remind you:
📢Good looks do not dictate status.

Here in Metro-Atlanta, we’re choosing:
✔️ Conversations before contact
✔️ Testing before trust
✔️ Boundaries without apology

If you’re local and need a safe, judgment-free space to check your status… you know where to find me.

Protect your body. Protect your peace.

Most STIs don’t have symptoms.

Not itching.
Not burning.
Not discharge.

Nothing.

And that’s exactly why so many people find out late.

Testing isn’t about being “promiscuous.”
It’s about being informed.

Your future fertility.
Your immune system.
Your pelvic health.
Your peace of mind.

If you’ve had a new partner…
If a condom broke…
If it’s been over 6 months…

It’s time.

DM “TEST” and I’ll tell you exactly what panel makes sense for you. No pressure, no judgment.

Have a great day on purpose. 🌿

Confusion is clarity.

If you have to keep repeating yourself, over-explaining, or stretching yourself thin just to be heard… pause.

They heard you the first time.

Someone who truly wants to understand you will ask questions.
They’ll lean in.
They’ll meet you where you are instead of making you chase connection.

Stop overextending yourself trying to be understood by people who are committed to misunderstanding you.

Peace feels like mutual effort. Not persuasion.

What has confusion revealed to you lately?

Myth: Condoms ruin intimacy.
Fact: Confidence and communication make intimacy better.

Accurate information helps us make better choices.

Protection doesn’t take away from the moment, it helps you enjoy it with peace of mind. Condoms are FREE in DC, so access should never be a barrier to safer s*x.

When someone says,
“I’m clean. I just got tested.”

Okay. I love that.

And… it’s still okay to ask questions.

“When was that?”
“What were you tested for?”
“Are we both in the same testing window?”

That’s not being extra.
That’s being grown.

Because the truth is, most STIs don’t have symptoms.
And “recently” means different things to different people.

I don’t want you relying on vibes.
I want you relying on facts.

Protecting your body doesn’t make you paranoid.
It makes you responsible.
It makes you safe.
It makes you empowered.

Healthy intimacy includes healthy conversations.

If you’re not sure what “recently tested” should actually look like, DM me WINDOW and I’ll explain it in a way that makes sense.

Have a great day on purpose. đź’› Have you encountered this before?

Most STIs are asymptomatic.

Read that again.

You can feel completely fine and still need treatment.

That’s why “I feel okay” isn’t a testing plan.

Routine s*xual health screening is prevention.
It protects you.
It protects your partners.
It protects your future health.

No shame. No assumptions. Just facts.

If you’re unsure when you last tested,
DM TEST and I’ll guide you through next steps.

Condoms protect against unplanned pregnancy and most s*xually transmitted infections, including HIV, gonorrhoea, chlamydia, and syphilis.

Use only water- or silicone-based lubricant with a condom during vaginal and particularly a**l s*x.

Remember, rejection is for your protection. Whoever doesn’t accept you, is not for you. & Trust me, many others will. Let’s start you with you accepting your self. 🫶🏽

Beyond|Med Telehealth: Formation Story

Beyond|Med Telehealth was formed by two African American nurse practitioners who joined together to improve, not only the physical health of individuals, but also their mental and emotional health. Sharee Clarke and Lonnie Jones, both posses several years of nursing and leadership experience and are experts in disease prevention and treatment, risk reduction and health education. Ironically, they were both born and raised in New Jersey, but were not connected until they met in the Metro Atlanta Area in 2015. From there, they learned that their personal and professional goals aligned to form a company that shared their most important values and mission to provide quality care to their patients. Therefore, Beyond|Med Telehealth was created to meet clients where they are, by providing a telemedicine platform with the aim of improving overall wellness. Now was their chance to finally have a platform where they could provide evidence-based care to patients in a way that was convenient and relatable to patients. The light bulb went off and their excitement created the momentum for the practice you see today.
