A proud moment for Dogwood! 🌎💙
Last week, our very own Dr. Shih, Dr. Kevin and Dr. Amanda traveled to São Paulo, Brazil, to speak at the National Conference of Critical Patients.
From heat stroke to airway surgery and anesthesia in bulldogs, they brought Dogwood knowledge to an international stage.

Thank you to Kaitlyn Ross for sharing this story and to Georgia’s mom, Wendy, for trusting us with her care.

From the brink of crisis to a second chance at life.

Georgia, a 10½-year-old Pomeranian, arrived at Dogwood Vet in Marietta with dangerously high kidney levels.

Weak, unable to eat, and barely standing, her future looked uncertain.

Her mom, Wendy, was desperate for answers.

She watched as Georgia received round-the-clock care from Dr. Andre Shih, Dr. Trevor Chan, and their team… multiple rounds of dialysis, constant monitoring, and compassion at every turn.

Slowly, Georgia regained her strength, her spark, and her sassy personality.

After 10 days, Georgia came home with kidney levels nearly back to normal and a renewed zest for life.

Wendy says the care, patience, and dedication of the Dogwood team gave her more time with the pup she loves with her whole heart.

Georgia’s story is a powerful reminder of what extraordinary veterinary care, and a team who truly cares, can do for pets and the families who love them. ❤️🐾

Maia came to Dogwood after experiencing troubling vomiting and bloody diarrhea. Our team provided her with the expert care she needed, and we are thrilled to report she is feeling much better and was discharged today! We wish Maia a wonderful recovery and many happy, healthy days ahead!
