5 reasons to pick seasonal produce first:
1. It’s better for you. Picked at its peak and during its true season, means more nutrient-dense produce. It also means minimal storage between harvest & your plate.
2. It tastes better and has a better texture because it’s FRESH
3. Save $$$$ - fresh seasonal food doesn’t usually have to travel as far = less fuel cost & there’s usually an abundance of product which leads to sale prices
4. Better for the environment. Less travel = “lower carbon footprint. And growing food off season often requires extra energy to make it happen.
5. Keeps you in the natural rhythm of nature. We are all part of nature. Eating seasonally introduces us to different foods throughout the year leading to more diversity in our gut microbiome. Seasonal foods often have nutrients that are beneficial for that time of year keeping our immune systems healthy.

Happy Spring!! Greet the new season with me with some FREE yoga and meditation. 3 classes available:
- Saturday 3/21 9- 10:15am (mellow flow + meditation)
- Wednesday 3/25 5:30-6:30pm (gentle yoga/stretch + meditation)
- Saturday 3/28 8:30-9:30 (mellow flow and meditation)
Yoga classes will be for all levels. Meditation will be Kirtan Kriya, scientifically shown to decrease depression and anxiety symptoms while amplifying your cognitive functioning. Leave the class feeling stretched out, clear, calm, and blissed out. Perfect for ending a long Wednesday workday or beginning a fantastic weekend. Classes are live and online. This is my friend Carmella. She wandered up to me on the beach in Mexico while I was doing yoga and we watched the sunrise together. She reminded me of the power of love, kindness, trust and gratitude for the gift of a brand new day. When we put these things together we can enact big changes for ourselves and those around us.
