Every child develops in their own unique way—but early awareness can make a meaningful difference. Recognizing the signs of autism early can help your child get the support they need to thrive.

Some signs to look for:
• Limited eye contact or response to their name
• Delayed speech or language skills
• Repetitive behaviors (hand flapping, rocking, lining up toys)
• Difficulty with social interaction or playing with others
• Strong reactions to sounds, textures, or changes in routine

If you have concerns, trust your instincts and talk to your child’s pediatrician. Early support can open the door to important resources and developmental progress.

Stress is a part of life, but how you manage it can make a big difference in your overall health. During Stress Awareness Month, take a moment to check in with yourself and prioritize your well-being.

Try these simple, healthy ways to manage stress:
• Take a few minutes each day to breathe deeply and reset
• Move your body—even a short walk can boost your mood
• Set boundaries and give yourself permission to rest
• Limit screen time, especially before bed
• Stay connected—talk to a friend, family member, or trusted provider

If stress starts to feel overwhelming or constant, you’re not alone—and support is available. Small steps can help you feel more balanced, focused, and in control. 💙

Happy Spring Equinox! As we welcome longer days and warmer weather, it’s the perfect time to refresh your body, mind, and habits for a healthier season ahead.

7 Ways to Approach Spring with a Healthy Lifestyle:

- Embrace Seasonal Foods: Enjoy fresh spring produce like asparagus, peas, radishes, and strawberries to boost vitamins, antioxidants, and fiber.
- Get Moving Outdoors: Take advantage of longer days for walking, cycling, or outdoor yoga; sunlight supports vitamin D and mood.
- Refresh Your Hydration Habits: Increase water intake and swap sugary drinks for herbal teas or infused water.
- Spring Cleaning for Health: Declutter spaces to reduce stress and consider a gentle dietary reset with whole foods.
- Prioritize Mental Health: Practice mindfulness, journaling, or mindful walks; nature reduces anxiety and improves well-being.
- Reassess Fitness Goals: Set seasonal fitness goals or try new outdoor activities like gardening, hiking, or sports.
- Sleep & Routine: Maintain 7–9 hours of sleep and align daily routines with natural daylight for energy and balance.

Sleep is not a luxury- it’s a foundation of health. On World Sleep Day, remember that adults need 7–9 hours of quality sleep each night, yet nearly one-third of people don’t get enough, increasing the risk of heart disease, diabetes, obesity, and depression. Prioritizing sleep supports immune function, mental clarity, and long-term wellness. Make rest part of your health routine.

National Sleep Awareness Week 2026 takes place March 8–14 and highlights the critical role sleep plays in overall health. Adults need 7–9 hours of sleep per night, yet about one-third of adults don’t get enough, which can increase the risk of heart disease, diabetes, obesity, and depression. The week also coincides with the start of Daylight Saving Time, when schedule changes can disrupt circadian rhythms and sleep quality.

Tips for better sleep:
• Keep a consistent sleep and wake schedule, even on weekends
• Limit screen time and blue light exposure before bed
• Create a cool, dark, and quiet sleep environment
• Avoid caffeine and heavy meals late in the evening
• Get natural sunlight and physical activity during the day

March is National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month — a reminder that prevention and early detection save lives.

Colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States, yet it is highly treatable when caught early. Regular screening can prevent cancer before it starts by identifying and removing precancerous polyps. Most adults should begin screening at age 45, or earlier if they have risk factors or a family history.

Your health matters. Talk to your doctor about screening options and take a proactive step toward prevention.
