TEACHER SPOTLIGHT ✨ DANIELLE COCHRAN

✨ Danielle began her Yoga journey in her teens practicing Yoga and Tai Chi at her family’s farm. Her zest for learning has been satisfied through many life experiences, however, it is truly her three children that have taught her patience, humility, compassion, unconditional love, and the importance of laughing every day!
✨ In Danielle’s style of teaching, she invites you to advance a loving self-awareness of your body, mind, and breath through light-hearted yet intentional Yoga flows. Her classes will leave you feeling energized, strong and calm with a sense of peace as she guides you through physical postures, taking moments to encourage and inspire you along your Yoga journey.
✨Fun Fact: Danielle recently became an author, publishing a children’s book titled There’s a Daschund in My House! — Danielle recreated this magical tale based on a song she used to sing her kids about their dog, Maple. This book is beautifully illustrated by an artist from Ukraine named Nadia Kilian, who Danielle worked with closely to bring the pages to life! Find the book on sale now at Barnes & Noble and Amazon.

Please welcome another new addition to our team of instructors, Kevin Medovitch ✨ Kevin completed his 200 hour yoga teacher training with Yoga Flow Wellness Center in Aspinwall in 2022. He’s been teaching yoga regularly since that time, and describes himself as an introverted philosopher at heart. Outside of yoga, his professional background is in corporate training and sales. He also enjoys working out at the gym, taking hikes with his dog, and writing.

Kevin creates yoga classes with themes related to the elements. Picture yourself enjoying the water theme: meditations & music about letting go, intentional flow, creativity, cleansing, and deep serenity. The intention is to create a space for you to turn off your analytical mind, ground into the moment, and connect to what is sacred within you.

Kevin’s warm-up and standing series are relatively simple. Their focus is to prepare specific areas of the body for deeper floor stretches in the second half. Each posture is cued so you can choose the intensity range—from relaxing to intense release. The longer holds include a few mini meditations. Each class is unique, even when the element repeats.

Students can attend Kevin’s Vin / Yin class that follows the theme of the elements every Wednesday evening, 6:30-7:45pm 🧘

is returning to the studio to bathe us in sound — Tuesday Nov 25th | 6:30-8:00pm ✨
Alana will play the singing bowls while teaches this restorative class. A portion of the class will be spent moving, but the majority will be spent releasing into long, relaxing stretches. You can expect lots of hands on assists (if you want them) and breath work as we move & meditate by candlelight. We’ll round out class with warm towels & essential oils. Please welcome the newest addition to our crew, Sherry! ✨
Sherry Marentay is a licensed clinical social worker. She has provided mental health counseling to individuals and couples for over 20 years. Sherry found yoga for herself and has been practicing for over 10 years.
It was through her own practice that she found the benefits of yoga on a mental, physical, and emotional level. She decided that this was something that she would like to offer the people that she works with
in counseling as well, and further her own practice. In 2021, Sherry attended and completed her 200-hour certification training at One Point One in Pittsburgh. Since then, she has broadened her practice to
include offering group classes to others at studios within the Butler County area. Her classes involve mindful movement, breath work, and utilizing the effects of the practice on students’ emotional and mental well-being. She creates a safe space for individuals to find themselves and be present in the here & now. Give her class a try; catch her subbing classes at our studio throughout the month of November!

TEACHER SPOTLIGHT ✨JULIANA VIOLA

Say hello to Juls! You may know her as Juliana Guenther, now the new Mrs. Juliana Viola 💍 Juls completed her 200-hour teacher training at South Hills Power Yoga in 2016, but her yoga journey began in 2012, just before her freshman year of high school. In 2017, she became a certified Barre Amped instructor and you’ll notice she loves to incorporate extra pulses into her classes.

While her practice started with heated vinyasa, you’d never guess—she’s often the first to crack open the door when the room gets too warm! Her teaching style blends dynamic, music-driven sequences with the occasional barre-inspired movement. When it’s time to wind down, she enjoys incorporating slow flow, restorative, or yoga nidra into the practice.
———
Juls has a deep, personal connection with the journey of body acceptance, which shines through in her teaching. She offers modifications, amplifications, and plenty of encouragement for all levels of students. Embracing the ever-changing nature of practice, she empowers her students to move in ways that feel best for their bodies in each moment. Look for her on the schedule — she’ll be taking over the Monday morning classes this fall!

Starting this Friday, we’ll be offering this special weekly workshop! Experience your life force energy and feel it flow through the ancient art of QiGong. Qi (Chi) is Life Force. Gong is ‘To work.’ This practice includes gentle movement & breath work that’s suitable for all. In addition to breath & movement, we’ll discuss the meridians and their benefits, as they relate to Traditional Chinese Medicine & the QiGong practice.
Every Friday, 8:00-9:00am | $20 per student

Yoga On Mars is an unheated studio, offering a wide variety of all-levels Vinyasa, restorative and Yin practices. We’re looking for someone who:
+ can teach to all skill levels
+ mindfully curates their class playlist
+ carefully constructs unique & intelligent sequences
+ will be an active part of our student community
