The last few days have been one of those beautiful reminders of why I love doing what I do. Spring energy always feels like this to me: things quietly brewing beneath the surface, little ideas starting to sprout, and suddenly you look around and realize there is a whole garden of possibilities beginning to bloom.
One of the most fun things in the works right now is the Corgi Puppy Yoga event next month in collaboration with the Ranch Training Center and the Marshall Pet Care Clinic. Our original class filled quickly and the waitlist kept growing… so we added a second session! Last I heard it may already be completely sold out. Apparently yoga + corgi puppies is a combination people are very willing to commit to. I can't blame them!! 🐶🧘♀️
I’ve also been reaching out to several local flower farms and micro flower growers about the possibility of hosting yoga events on their properties this season. Last summer I had the opportunity to teach yoga on a local flower farm and it was one of my favorite experiences as a teacher. Practicing yoga surrounded by rows of blooms, fresh air, and the quiet rhythm of a working farm is something really special!
I absolutely love supporting local farms! Stopping at their farm stands, picking up bouquets, chatting with growers, and appreciating the beauty they cultivate. Every time I visit one of these places I find myself thinking, “Wow… this would be an incredible place to practice yoga.” So I’m really excited that a couple farms and local growers have already expressed interest in making these experiences happen.
Behind the scenes I’ve also been building some new class sequences. One is a shoulder and low-back focused stretch and release class requested by the powerlifting athletes at the Ranch Training Center who are heading to Nationals this weekend. My goal is to help them release tension, lengthen tight muscles, breathe deeply, and walk into competition feeling centered and grounded!
I’m also working on a private yoga class for a wedding group that will feature Mandala-style sequencing. Mandala sequencing is a circular flow that moves around the mat (from pose to pose as you circle from the front, side, back, opposite and back to front) and explores movement from all four directions. It creates a really beautiful, rhythmic practice that feels both grounding and creative.
And another fun experience on the calendar: a private family yoga gathering for one of my clients and her extended family. We’ll start with about 45 minutes of yoga and finish with sauna time! Their family has a goal this year of trying one new experience every month, and yoga made the list! I'll have about 10–12 of them showing up ready to move, laugh, and try something new together. I absolutely love that!
This is the kind of work that lights me up!!
I’ve never really felt like the “go teach classes in a yoga studio every day” type of teacher. There is nothing wrong with that and I love those who enjoy teaching in that capacity, it's just not my jam as a yoga teacher myself. What I’ve always wanted to create are yoga experiences — moments that bring people together, support small businesses, connect with nature, and introduce yoga in ways that feel approachable, meaningful, and aligned with real life.
And honestly… it feels perfectly in rhythm with the season!
Spring is about emergence.
Planting seeds of intention.
Returning to the ground beneath your feet.
Allowing growth to unfold in its own time.
Right now there are a lot of little seeds being planted...collaborations, classes, ideas, experiences, and I’m really excited to watch what grows from them in the months ahead!
If you’ve been feeling that spring energy too… maybe it’s your season to plant a few seeds of your own. 🌱
