We make resolutions to live better — to eat well, stay active, and be more present. But what about planning to rest easier?

This year, consider making your pre-need arrangements part of your overall life plan. Pre-planning isn’t about focusing on the end — it’s about creating peace of mind for yourself and relief for the people you love. It gives you the chance to make thoughtful decisions, document your wishes, and ensure your family is supported when they’ll need it most.

A little planning today can bring a deep sense of comfort for tomorrow.

Meet Gracie, our resident black lab and the unofficial boss of Kempf 🐾🖤

Gracie goes home with our manager, Chuck Stallard, every evening—but each day she proudly returns to the funeral home to keep everyone in line. She’s very vocal, full of personality, and loved by everyone who walks through our doors. In fact, some Marshall residents stop by just to see her (and we totally get it).

If you hear a friendly bark or see a wagging tail during your visit, that’s just Gracie making sure everyone feels welcome.

Here are a few simple ways to keep your heart happy:

😴 Get good rest to help your body recharge and reduce stress.
💧 Stay hydrated to keep everything functioning smoothly.
💬 Connect with people you love — emotional wellness matters too.
