Anxiety alert here!!
Can you believe we only have 23 weekends before Christmas??
How was last Christmas for you? Were you stressed coming down the home stretch and mad with yourself for being in that position YET AGAIN?
I know I was, and I was especially mad because I had come up with a solution years ago that really did work, but I just hadn't used it.
This year, I have, and even though half of the year is gone, I am going to share what I am doing. If any of you want to join with me for the rest of the year, you to do that. As my first kick-off group, there will be no charge for you for your connections here, in this group. Later, this group will be part of a paying membership, but you will be grandfathered in.
It is guaranteed to make a difference in your stress level this holiday season, and guaranteed to give you more time to do the things you love most during the season. (Think...music, friends, watching Christmas movies, making cookies, spending fun time with friends, children, grands, romantic partners)
Next year I will be launching a membership, "Living Beyond Christmas Stress." The videos and plans are made, but there is no reason that we can't get started together with me to make 2022 a much lighter experience, and I will appreciate working with you before I actually launch the membership.
The program will include simplifying decorating, baking/cooking, gifting, and your peace of mind during the season, along with many other helpful topics, such as dealing with difficult family members.
I'll be posting the concept on Fridays, so that you can take the ideas and spend a few minutes through the week-end of the following weeks to be getting ready for Christmas 2022.
Since gift purchasing can be the most time consuming and stressful part, that is where we are going to start. This year, since supply chains issues are causing trouble for us, it is all the more important that we are on top of this.
The basic idea is to divide our gift list into manageable portions and purchase gifts throughout the year. I buy my people's Christmas gift when I purchase their birthday gift and put it away.
**To start for this year, take a few minutes this week-end and start a list of people you usually purchase for, then see if any of those have birthdays between now and November, make a goal to purchase (or make) their Christmas gifts during those months. We will delve further into this next week.
Next Friday, we'll look at another piece of the plan.
Until then -
1. be really excited at the idea of experiencing a holiday season with more focus on doing the things you love and less on the stress.
2. make a list of the people you purchase or create gifts for and write down their birthdays.
3. like and introduce yourself in the Facebook group, "Living Beyond Christmas Stress" at this link: https://lnkd.in/gxNidKKH, and note that you want to follow this page so that you don't miss the Friday posting. This group will be for us to encourage each other and to help each other with ideas.
Let's do it! Let's make this our most Stress-Free Christmas yet!!
