November is Diabetes Awareness Month and we are proud to have a pharmacist here at Achor Family Pharmacy who focuses on Diabetes Management, Education, and care for our patients and community.

Did you know our pharmacist Hannah offers Diabetes classes at Maumelle Center on the Lake? She dives into all things diabetes related so you and your loved ones can feel empowered! In addition to classes, our pharmacy offers multiple services that can aid those living with diabetes including making sure recommended immunizations are up to date, providing multi-dose packing for better medication adherence, and delivery services as needed.

Being one of the first and leading pharmacies providing Diabetes Education in our state, pharmacist Hannah led a workshop for other Arkansas pharmacists showing how she leads classes and encouraging other pharmacies across our state to offer these services, better serve patients, address chronic conditions, and improve health outcomes in our communities.

In this season of giving, we are partnering with Maumelle Philanthropists Food Pantry to collect & donate non-perishable food items to help keep their pantry stocked!

I’ve shared a list of their staples & frequently low stock items. Bring your donations by any time the pharmacy is open and we will make sure it gets to the pantry! Thank you for helping our neighbors! 🧡

Today we celebrate our future pharmacists and UAMS College of Pharmacy students! ✨ Achor Family Pharmacy prides itself on being a teaching pharmacy and we are thankful to have such eager pharmacy students! These students spend their free time working at the pharmacy to immerse themselves in their future profession so that they are ready to be pharmacists at the end of their 4 year Pharm.D. education. We are so proud of each of you!

Treatment of the flu needs to be started within 48 hours of symptoms. If you feel any flu-like symptoms, schedule a curb-side flu test! We can prescribe you medication at the same time if your test comes back positive!
