Fall is here and unfortunately all the nasty seasonal viruses are here, too. Here’s a simple flow chart to help you determine when your child needs to stay home from school. Most kids with a cold or stomach bug will recover on their own with some extra rest and fluids and do not need to be seen by a doctor, but you should call your pediatrician right away if your child has difficulty breathing, blue lips or nails, extreme fatigue, or is showing signs of dehydration. Ahuja Medical Center, Beachwood — June 2–Aug. 12
Rainbow Babies & Children’s, Cleveland — June 2–Aug. 15
Elyria Medical Center, Elyria — June 2–Aug. 15
Lake West Medical Center, Willoughby — June 2–Aug. 15
Parma Medical Center, Parma — June 16–Aug. 22
Portage Medical Center, Ravenna — June 2–Aug. 15
Samaritan Medical Center, Ashland — June 2–Aug. 22

Meals will be served Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Children must eat onsite, as meals cannot be taken to go, according to federal guidelines.
