Meet the yoga instructors of The Seva Yoga Project's 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training program!
Dixie Chamness, Heisue Chung-Matheu, and Leslie Glen have more than 30 years of combined teaching experience and an advanced approach to sequencing, students will gain the needed knowledge and confidence to lead their classes.
๐ฅDixie Chamness
Dixie has dedicated her life to the study of yoga, the human body, and how these two things can help us move and continuously improve. As both bodyworker and yoga instructor, she has developed an intuitive approach to weaving her advanced knowledge of anatomy and kinesiology into each class. Her classes encourage exploration of mindful movement and a personal examination of body, mind, and spirit. As a lifetime student, she embraces the idea that there is always something left to learn.
๐ฅHeisue Chung-Matheu
Heisue grew up watching her grandfather practice yoga every evening after he came back home from work. Even though she could not name this daily pre-dinner routine, his serene and peaceful disposition left an impression.
She is an advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion in all social aspects, and it is her goal as a yoga educator to make this healing modality more accessible, and digestible.
๐ฅLeslie Glen
Leslie's yoga journey began as a professional snowboarder. Yoga not only improved her athletic prowess but brought clarity and presence to all parts of her life. It became an anchor of balance as she traveled to snowboard competitions around the world. Her practice remains a beacon of light as she navigates the joys and challenges everyday life, including a recent journey surviving breast cancer.
