Our STOP Regional Youth Coalition is having our annual Substance Free Event!! Join us at the Lewis County Black Oak Park on May 16th from 12:00-2:00! Community partners will be set up, food trucks, bounce houses & MORE! Our Lewis County chapter has worked so hard putting this together!

The Foster Grandparent Program of Comprehend, Inc. has volunteers who tutor and mentor students one-on-one in the classrooms at 13 local schools. Foster Grandparents Program Volunteers serve Monday thru Friday, with a minimum of 5 hours a week but can volunteer for up to 40 hours. We know our volunteers are retired, so we allow flexible scheduling. Program Requirements: You need to be 55 years or older; Household income less than $31,920.00 for a 1-person household or $43,280.00 for a 2-person household per year; Willing to volunteer at least 5 hours per week; Pass the required State, Federal and National S*x Offenders Registry Background Check; No Educational Requirements. Benefits: Hourly Stipend (Tax-Free Money); Round-trip mileage reimbursement; Social opportunities for men and women; Monthly Trainings; Paid Holidays and Paid Time Off; Recognition Events. If you are interested in becoming a Foster Grandparent Program volunteer or would like more information, please call our program office at 606-759-5510.

The Foster Grandparent Program has been serving Bracken, Fleming, Lewis, Mason & Robertson Counties in Kentucky for 47 years! The Foster Grandparent Program exists for the dual purpose of engaging person 55 years and older, particularly those with limited incomes, in volunteer service to meet critical community needs; provide a high quality experience that will enrich the lives of the volunteers and to provide supportive, person-to-person services to children with exceptional or special needs.

This event is designed for expectant parents & parents and caregivers of children ages Birth-5. This event will take place at Maysville Community and Technical College May 7th 5:00PM-8:00PM.
