2 of our LDRP staff recently attended the Spinning Babies Workshop in Jackson. BCBS of MS in collaboration with the MSPQC offered the class to provide hands-on education and training to support the statewide implementation of the AIM Safe Reduction of Primary Cesarean Births Bundle. Implementation of Maternal Safety bundles is a key component of the BCBS of MS Quality Model. From left, Alayna Thornton RN and Tera Elizabeth Givens RNC-OB. Both of these incredible nurses are in school to become Certified Nurse Midwives. We are so proud of them and what they are going to bring to our facility in the future.

Job Well-Done to these 2 ladies!! Rachel Michelle Galdino, RN and Tera Elizabeth Givens, RNC-OB, were the 2 winners for October and November for encouraging and guiding the most Moms to initiate Breastfeeding after delivery! We are so proud of their dedication and passion in assisting and providing education and support to our new mothers. We are a Baby-Friendly facility and promote and uphold the 10 Steps to Successful Breastfeeding.
