What is the ATS Electro-Acuscope? How is this modality different from other therapies?
The ATS electro-acuscope is an FDA approved microcurrent modality that utilizes a biofeedback system that is specifically calibrated for animal tissue (note: most other therapies on the market are human calibrated instruments used on animals).
The ATS electro-acuscope attempts to normalize the level of current in nerve cells and creates indirect access to muscles, tendons, ligaments, and boney areas. An identifying feature of the ATS acuscope is that it utilizes a biofeedback system that provides numerical and auditorial readings that identify locations in the body where the tissue is damaged or unhealthy. Through the readings gathered it can be generally concluded that a certain area (low numbers and low tones) is in a deficit, which would indicate a chronic issue, or a hyperactive state (high numbers and high pitches tones), which would indicate an acute issue.
The ATS electro-acuscope will attempt to normalize the nerve cells using a waveform similar to the body's electrical signals and utilizing the biofeedback system the instrument will only deliver the amount of microcurrent (microamps) that the nerve cells need to promote healing. ⭐️This is an IMPORTANT feature to be aware of because most other nerve stimulation devices produce milli-amperage current, which just overloads the tissue and blocks pain signals (fixed output) whereas the ATS electro-acuscope continually monitors (the biofeedback system interacts with the body so as to NOT overstimulate) the cells to only emit the amount of microcurrent needed (NOT a fixed output) to assist the body to accelerate the natural healing process.
