In 2022, we hosted our inaugural Showcase Week. It opened with open mic poetry, had performances sprinkled throughout the week, and ended with a DJ battle.

This was hosted by Focus On Renewal in McKees Rocks.

Last year I crashed my ebike because I was running late and rushed instead of slowing down and checking conditions. The road looked dry. I convinced myself it was fine. The concrete reminded me otherwise.

That fall exposed how pressure and poor time management create bigger consequences. That’s why I mentor from experience, not just education.

Picked this up on Amazon… the ILM Adult Bike Helmet with Visor + USB Rechargeable Light and I had to run a light check before heading out.
The visor is clutch… cuts wind, bugs, and glare.
That front LED is BRIGHT bright… perfect for dusk and night rides.
Fit feels solid, comfy on the head, and the rear safety light is a nice extra layer when traffic gets sketchy.
So far… so good 🔥
I’ll keep putting miles on it and report back

Took the Meta Ray-Ban glasses out downtown Pittsburgh for a nighttime ride and yeah… the city at night is just different for me.. it just feels...
Lights bouncing off the streets
quiet blocks
bridges glowing
wind in your ears

Pittsburgh downtown after dark is such a vibe to me.
Sometimes you gotta move through the city just to feel it again.

This was one of them rides.

I finally tested a hill that used to scare me… until the Velotric Discover made me rethink what was possible.

At the time I was 350+ and the goal wasn’t speed — it was seeing how far discipline, consistency, and the right setup could really take me.

McCoy Rd headed down feels like a roller coaster.

Coming back up though…

good lawd 😅

Growth really shows up when you stop dodging the stuff that scares you.

My last few weeks in Arkansas back in 2015… I got to sit with some incredible musicians

We poured into each other every session
