As humans, we know all too well the benefits of massage. So, do these same principals apply to animals? Pet massage as practiced by a qualified professional is grounded in real science - anatomy, kinesiology and psychology - and has practical applications for a pet's physical and mental health. Since massage looks and feels like pampering, many people automatically discount its value. Pet owners often fail to realize massage therapy is not merely glorified petting. Consistent massage can help to build a dog's self-confidence, sociability and feelings of trust and belonging.
