When a client requests a home filled with personality, we deliver! 👏🏻

We started by understanding who they are: their routines, favorite colors, and cherished objects. From there, we layered textures, mixed finishes, and curated art and furnishings that reflect their life and style. Every decision is intentional, creating a space that’s not just functional, but unmistakably theirs.

Tile might seem like a small detail, but it has the power to completely elevate a home. It’s where practicality meets beauty, and when chosen thoughtfully, it can carry a room from ordinary to unforgettable.

In our latest blog, “A Designer’s Guide to Tile Types and Where to Use Them,” we’re sharing 5 of our favorite tile materials, why we choose them, and the spaces where they truly shine. From timeless elegance to everyday livability, every choice is intentional because your home should look beautiful and feel like it works for your life.

The Story

The name “Glowing Oasis Pilates” has two meanings: I have been referred to as a “glowing ray of sunshine” by a few people, and I want to share with others the “oasis” from everyday life that I experience when I do Pilates.

This venture started in 2010 as a traveling studio with hopes to one day open up a home based space. I’d pack up my mat and props and drive to clients’ homes to teach sessions. I really enjoyed meeting the many individuals I worked with but the drive time was not ideal. I was searching for a space to hold classes. I was very fortunate to have found a physical therapy practice that leased a room to me. I purchased a reformer and moved all classes there in 2014. I also started continuing my education with pre & post natal Pilates and found that my passion for teaching really lied with mothers.

I absolutely loved the new space and classes were filling up quickly. Be careful what you wish for...my schedule was so full that I was exhausted and found myself not enjoying teaching anymore. My fiancé at the time suggested I use an empty bedroom upstairs to teach out of while we renovated our basement into a studio, so I did just that. (To keep this timeline in order, I will add that we got married July 2016).

When the renovation was finally complete, I started teaching out of this beautiful space in July 2017. Shortly afterward, I gave birth to my son in October 2017. My own pregnancy and postpartum journey has given me such a greater understanding of the benefits of Pilates for mothers and how little information there is out there. I’ve shifted my focus to be a studio for mothers (of all ages). An “oasis” to provide safe and effective exercises for a healthy pregnancy and postpartum journey.
