This is where it all starts week 1, from 3 miles to an Ultra in 16 weeks. While many will argue I should focus on my running, I built this for me, and the S&C component isn't going away, in fact I would argue that this is a massively missing component of many ultra runners. Happy to debate this and reference research if needed. See ya in the mountains!
Also, for reference purposes only, I will consume 2.2g/kg/bw protein, 6g/kg/bw carbohydrates, .6g/kg/bw fat, to start at 205lbs.. (Alcohol consumption will continue and count against my carbs and fat) No, I am no eliminating alcohol, nor will I be adding bu****it supplements.
Supplements will include, Whey isolate, creatine, multi, omega 3, magnesium, vit D, and sea salt (added to my water) and that's about it, real food wins every time...
