As we come to the end of 2024 I am reminded of the wins and the losses this year has brought.
No one plans for life to go astray but sometimes circumstances cause us to grasp and reach for the familiar even though it causes us pain. I’ve sought to change that in 2024 and that is my win!
I am reminded of what my teachers have taught me. Stop surrendering and ask to be open instead.
I am reminded of the times I took a chance in life because the status quo was more painful then failing.
I decided to view things from a more sober reality and realized that all answers for me are within me. If I stay open the way will be shown.
That no one has my best interest in life more than me. And sometimes we sit in Gods waiting room longer than is comfortable.
I woke up this morning with the verse “Anything is possible with him”. I looked it up and found this quote from Matthew 19:26
“With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
I recognize now that I’ve stepped out of the boat just like Peter did when Jesus asked him to walk on water in the storm.
I may fail. I may sink and I could potentially drown, but my faith and openness will lead me somewhere I have never been before. This is exciting.
There is a possibility of new beginnings, new people and new opportunities.
Rather than being ashamed of how I’ve wound up in 2024 be amazed at how much I’ve tried, how much I’ve believed in, and how much I’ve served and loved.
This life story continues and transformation never ends. Planet earth is my schoolhouse and I am in graduate school. The best is yet to come in 2025.
What about you?
