Christine Strobel, a graduate of the Bothmer Schule, and a Spacial Dynamics practitioner, passed away on August 31, 2024. Christine dedicated a large part of her life providing loving movement therapy to the children and youth at Raphael Haus, Stuttgart. She will be sorely missed here. The heavens are a little brighter now. They have gained a brilliant star! Those of us who had the honor to know Christine have been changed forever by her light, her warmth, and her love! JM

Monica Oddino was joined by Katie Moran in Argentina this past week, working with this wonderful group of students who had been preparing for years with Monica Oddino for this event: Testing for their Bothmer certification through the Association for Bothmer Gymnastics in the Americas. Michael Neu and Jaimen McMillan teamed up in Stuttgart, Germany this fall for the "Waldorf 100 Conference", at the Uhlandshöhe Waldorf Schule. They co-taught movement in the very hall where Graf von Bothmer developed his gymnastics system nearly a century ago.
Bothmer Gymnastics and Spacial Dynamics were taught side by side as separate disciplines; brother-sister...enriching each other. Both movement disciplines strive to serve the goal that Rudolf Steiner gave 100 years ago: To help the up-right human being move towards freedom.

Bothmer Gymnastics is thriving in the Americas!
Two concurrent trainings took place at the Spacial Dynamics Institute in upstate New York during the first week of August: Part 2 of a course to become a Bothmer® Gymnast, and an intensive certification process for those with long-time experience teaching Bothmer Gymnastics to become certified Bothmer Gymnastics® Trainers. The course was taught by Jaimen McMillan, former co-director of the Graf Bothmer Schule für Gymnastik Stuttgart, e.V., and directed by the Board of the Association for Bothmer Gymnastics in the Americas: Katie Moran, Dr. John Takacs, and Michael Lansky.
Three cheers for the Association for Bothmer Gymnastics in the Americas(ABGA) which recently received its not-for-profit status. ABGA was the diploma granting body for this momentous event.
There were 15 candidates to become Trainers; of these 9 received the status of Bothmer Trainer for the Association for Bothmer Gymnastics in the Americas.The others are well in process. 25 applicants received their diplomas as Bothmer Gymnasts. Below: This wonderful group in SDI's gym; and Katie Moran, ABGA's president, and Dr. John Takacs, vice-president, sign the Bothmer diplomas for ABGA. Congratulations to all who worked so hard to achieve these goals and recognitions!

Taiwan: February 20th, 2018 Jaimen McMillan offered an introductory workshop on Bothmer Gymnastics for a group of dedicated teachers from Taiwan, Mainland China, and Singapore.
