February is American Heart Month, a time to raise awareness about heart disease, which continues to be the leading cause of death in the United States and impacts millions of people each year. Research from the CDC shows a strong connection between mental health and heart disease risk factors, both before a mental health diagnosis and throughout treatment. These connections can develop through biological changes as well as health behaviors that may increase risk.

At Innovive Health, our clinicians recognize that heart conditions can greatly affect individuals living with mental health diagnoses. There is a complex, two-way relationship between heart disease and conditions such as depression, anxiety, and schizophrenia. Addressing both physical and mental health together can improve patient outcomes, which is why our caregivers, nurses, and operations teams remain dedicated to delivering high-quality, coordinated care for our behavioral health patients.

Innovive Health participated in the Constituent Services Fair at the Salem Community Life Center in Salem, MA in late January.

The fair was designed to give Massachusetts residents the chance to connect directly with experts from various agencies and organizations to learn about available services and benefits.

Our team was proud to join this community event to share information about home health resources, answer questions, and help attendees better understand their options for care at home. Events like this strengthen connections, break down barriers to access, and remind us how powerful local support can be.
