Greg, an Anesthesia Tech at Three Rivers Medical Center, recently received the BEE Award for his quick thinking and action during an ordinary trip to the store. The BEE Award is health care recognition program that honors staff who provide compassionate and extraordinary care.
While loading groceries into his car, Greg was in the right place at the right time and ran to assist when a person experienced a medical emergency. Greg’s fast action and CPR training navigated a crisis and provided life saving measures when moments mattered.

There has been recent reckless reporting stating there is no coverage in our NICU and that physicians were immediately terminated. These statements are not only false, but misrepresented by the media. This misinformation is harmful to our patients and their families. Please review the facts below and online: https://www.asante.org/faq-nicu/.

Q: Is the NICU at Rogue Regional Medical Center closing?
A: No. This is a critical service line that we are committed to growing to better serve the families across the many counties who rely on Rogue Regional Medical Center for this specialty care.

Q: Are the nine neonatologists still employed with Asante?
A: Yes, all nine neonatologists are still working shifts in the NICU with 24/7 coverage. Until new plans are in place this summer, current staffing is expected to remain the same.

Q: What are the plans for the NICU after July 2026?
A: We are exploring clinical partnerships with academic and other regional providers who share our vision of expanding neonatal access and capability for our health system and region.
