Walking through the doors at Rogue Regional Medical Center, James is one of the first people you’ll likely meet. With genuine warmth, James helps patients check in for procedures and supports families and caregivers while they wait. It was 10 years ago this week that James began working as a Patient Service Representative. Beyond that, James also is a Marine and Army veteran who has lived in the Rogue Valley for over 20 years. James says it’s the people who he comes for every day, “Keeping family members informed, that’s how I provide care. Letting them know you are just as important and I’m here for you during this time.”

Our robotic assisted bronchoscopy program at Asante is now one year old! This industry leading procedure is a much less invasive alternative to diagnosing suspicious lung nodules. It allows physicians to enter the lungs through the mouth rather than surgically. The program uses a small robotic scope to biopsy nodules, even ones found deep within the lungs. This procedure is leading to earlier diagnosis of lung cancer and reducing complications. Congratulations to our incredible team at Rogue Regional Medical Center. More than 100 cases and counting!
