This is a pic from last spring on the day of completing our Level 1 Ayurvedic Wellness Counselor program with Sevanti Institute. Half a year later we’ve finally teamed up to bring our knowledge of this ancient wisdom to Corepower Yoga in Medford. Join us this Friday at 6:45p for a 60 min Kapha Flow for Vitality focusing on heart openers and building strength to combat the challenges of Winter! The Spring Equinox is a striking balance between yin and yang. It’s time to cleanse ourselves of the stagnant energy stored within us from the long, dark and cold winter season. This is a communal opportunity for renewal and rebirth. As the earth sprouts and blossoms we can bring forth those internalized plans for ourselves. This longer day leading to the Full Moon in Libra reminds us that a new cycle of transformation is the death of any unnecessary layers and old habits. Whether it’s your yoga practice or grocery shopping list, allow yourself to distinguish an opportunity to release what no longer serves you this season to be born again.

Spring Reset & Renewal!! Who’s with me? Habits, both good and bad direct our lives. As we move in to spring (don’t worry, it’s coming) this means we have an opportunity to renew our seasonal regime. Ayurveda has a strong focus on this formation of new habits called Ritucharya because our bodies are affected by seasonal changes. What are some winter habits you need to shake off? How’s the time! The universe is inviting transformation with longer sunny days.

ACV ELIXIR
1 Tbsp raw apple cider vinegar
1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice (about 1-2 wedges)
¼ tsp ginger
1 Tbsp raw honey
Dash cayenne pepper (seriously just a dash!) This elixir is rich in antioxidants such as polyphenols. It activates nourishment of the cells and drainage of the lymphatic system. In Ayurveda Lymph is called Rasa. Rasa is has a huge responsibility to remove toxins from skin, muscles joints, organs and so important for our breasts! It’s the first of the body tissues that compromises under stress which directly relates to health degeneration. Most of our lymph is found in our gut! So take care. Give it a try and let me know how you feel 💖
