🌿🌻Sunday’s Soulful Reflections…

I believe a deep relationship with God requires our prayers to be messy, authentic, transparent, and real.

Sometimes we soften our emotions before bringing them to God, as if He is not already aware of every detail, every ache, every unspoken thing within us.

In this season of my life, I am learning that my prayers are most powerful when I come as my most vulnerable, unfiltered self. When I stop performing strength and simply bare my heart before my Father, something sacred happens.

Peace enters.✨

The Holy Spirit makes His presence known.✨

And I am reminded that God does not meet me only in my strength…💪🏽

He meets me tenderly in my weakness.🥺

That is when the scripture comes alive in me:
His strength is made perfect in my weakness.

There is power in a messy prayer.🙏🏽
God can bless a mess.

🌻Seeds for the Soul…

To my ladies, God gives us a gift, and that gift is intuition.✨

It is the inner knowing, the quiet voice, the gentle nudge that warns us when something is not right. It tells us when to run 🏃🏾‍♀️ from what looks good on the outside but feels unsafe in the soul.

Early on, the signs are there.
The patterns are there.
The behavior is speaking.

Yet too often, we silence our inner voice and question what we already know. I’ve been there before.🙋🏽‍♀️
Now I understand the power of listening to that sacred inner knowing.

Sometimes, their behavior is the answer you’ve been praying for.

🌻Sacred Soil Reflection…

My heart is holding a painful paradox.💔🤎

I carry anger for the rise in femicide within our
community…
and at the same time, I find myself looking at the Black men in my life with deeper reflection.

I now have a nephew, a grandson, and a great-grandson on the way.

And it makes me pause.

This is a sacred hour for Black men.
An hour to gather.
To heal.
To be seen beyond the image, the bravado, the surface conversations.

No more hiding behind what looks good.

There is a deeper rite of passage calling.✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿

A circle rooted in truth, trust, accountability, and acceptance.

Because this cannot continue.

Too many Black women are losing their lives.

And the healing… must also happen among men.

Black men holding one another accountable.
Black men creating spaces where truth can breathe.

And to the men who are already doing this work…
who are safe, grounded, and present for their women and children…

I honor you.

Every woman deserves safety in love.🤍

But when chaos is familiar, we can mistake it for connection. We attach to wounded people because they feel normal.

Safe love may feel unfamiliar… even boring… when your nervous system is used to inconsistency.

But chaos is not love.

The love you accept often reflects the worth you feel within.

Domestic abuse is rising, especially in Black communities and women are disproportionately impacted.🤎💔

Ladies… you have more power than you realize!

GOD gave you intuition.✨

That inner knowing is not random it is protection.

The truth is… people show you who they are early.

The signs are there.

We just don’t always listen.

Not because we’re weak…
but because we hope.

But your intuition doesn’t speak in potential… it speaks in truth.

That feeling in your spirit… that quiet pause… that inner voice that says “pay attention” that is GOD.

Listen.
Honor it.
Trust it.

Because your intuition will always reveal what your heart is trying to negotiate.‼️

Choose peace. Choose yourself.

This is a call to awareness… a call to action… a call to protect our Sisters.🤎🙏🏽

Black women are being viciously murdered by their partners, and it cannot be ignored.
This is not isolated. This is not random.
This is a 5 alarm crisis.
We must sound the alarm. 🚨

We cannot continue to treat these tragedies as background noise or “just another story.”

There is a serious mental health crisis, a crisis of safety, a crisis of silence happening in our communities.

And it is costing Black women their lives.

My heart is heavy…💔😞

I am holding space and sending prayers to every woman who may be in a relationship that feels unsafe, unstable, or harmful.

You deserve peace.
You deserve protection.
You deserve to live.

If something doesn’t feel right… it isn’t.
If you feel afraid… that matters.
If you’ve been silencing your intuition… listen.

This is deeply disturbing.
This is heartbreaking.💔
And this must change.

I see you. I honor you.

We will not be silent.!!

This post is for the ones who check on everyone else…
but rarely pause to check on themselves.

I used to be one of those people.🙋🏽‍♀️

Always showing up.
Always holding space.
Always making sure everyone else was okay…
while quietly abandoning myself.

Today, I practice being my own Emotional Ally.🧘🏽‍♀️
I check in with myself.
I sit in stillness.
I give myself the same care I so freely offer to others.
Not perfectly… but intentionally.

So let me ask you gently…

🌿🌻Sacred Soil Reflection…

For so many of us, our inner child has been quietly running the show for decades.

Especially in relationships!!

Searching for love in all the wrong places and in all the wrong ways.

Making choices rooted not in who we are today, but in the fears of who we once were.

I know this truth intimately.

There was a time when I was deeply afraid of being abandoned.

And that fear didn’t just live in my thoughts… it lived in my body.

It shaped my responses, my attachments, my tolerance, and my silence.

What many of us don’t realize is this:

At any given moment, we can be pulled emotionally and behaviorally back in time.

Not because we are broken…

But because a younger version of us is still seeking safety, still seeking love, still seeking to be seen.

The work is not to shame her…
The work is to recognize her, hold her, and gently remind her…

We are safe now.
We are rooted now.
We get to choose differently now.

🌿🌻Sacred Soil Reflection…

With age comes freedom!🙌🏽

As a reformed people pleaser,
I know what it feels like
to say yes
when the no was already in my body.

Now, rooted in my truth
and anchored in my power,
I honor my Sacred Yes.

My time is valuable.
It is not meant to be spread thin
but to be rooted, steady, and aligned
So I can create space
for the yes….
that serves my purpose
and highest good.🙏🏽✨

Where in your life are you saying yes
when your body is asking for no?

That awareness is where your freedom begins.✨
