Lots of special events on the schedule for the holidays! Today was a gathering for an afternoon of cookie decorating, with pumpkin roll and hot chocolates for snacks. Here's one of the heartwarming moments that remind us just how special our Medina Meadows family truly is.

Our USPS mail carrier, Reuben, surprised our resident Jerry with an OFFICIAL USPS MAIL CAP —a thoughtful gesture that absolutely made Jerry’s day. Jerry loves volunteering by helping deliver mail throughout the building, and thinks of it as his job. Every day, he looks forward to sitting at the front, waiting for the mail to arrive so he can get to work.

Thanks to Reuben’s kindness, Jerry is now feeling extra official as Medina Meadows’ very own Mail Carrier!!

We’re grateful for moments like this and for the wonderful people, like Reuben and Jerry, who brighten our community every single day.

We had a wonderful afternoon at Medina Meadows thanks to Joy Speers, Volunteer Coordinator with Remembrance Hospice. Joy joined us today to lead a fun and relaxing craft session, helping our residents paint their own ceramic coasters.

Several residents took part, and it was such a joy to see the creativity flow—each coaster turned out beautifully and uniquely their own. Joy made the experience easy, engaging, and uplifting for everyone involved. She even sealed each finished piece so the coasters are fully waterproof and ready to use or display.

We are so grateful to Joy and to Remembrance Hospice for sharing their time, talent, and kindness with our community. Their support means so much to us and to our residents. We hope to see Joy again soon!

Medina Meadows will offer open tours every Saturday afternoon from 12:00–1:00pm, welcoming anyone who would like to stop in and see the facility. Beautifully remodeled and expanded in 2018, Medina Meadows is a skilled nursing and rehabilitation center known for its commitment to resident-centered care and purposeful living through the expansive therapy program. The facility provides post-surgical care, long-term care, hospice and respite services, as well as physical, occupational, and speech therapy. The Saturday tours will be hosted by Jason from the Activity Department, who has been part of Medina Meadows for nearly two decades, along with his supervisor and Director of Activities Kim. Jason especially values activities and outings that include family and friends and musical guests. He also appreciates the many ways all the departments support and enhance resident engagement. Visitors are invited to stop in, meet the staff, and experience the warmth of Medina Meadows firsthand.
