👋 Welcome to Mellion Orthodontics!

If you're new here, we'd love to introduce you to our practice. We are a three doctor, private practice - founded in 1980 by Dr. Joe Mellion and kept in the family when sons Dr. Zach and Dr. Alex joined the practice after completing their residencies. We are in the top 1% of Invisalign® providers worldwide and are comfortable treating even the most complex cases (and the most straightforward!). We offer Invisalign®, traditional braces, interceptive (Phase I) treatment and a complimentary program for kiddos age 7 and up who aren't ready for treatment quite yet.

We've been making smiles for over 45 years in the greater Akron and Medina communities and we can't wait to make YOU smile!

🧐 Curious what to expect during your first visit to our office? Here’s what you can expect at Mellion Orthodontics:

Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by one of treatment coordinators who will review your dental and medical history and discuss your treatment goals. Together you’ll take a series of photographs of your teeth, take an X-ray and complete a digital scan of your mouth (we are an impression-free office!).

👨‍⚕️ Next, you will meet with one of our board-certified orthodontists - Dr. Zach, Dr. Alex, or Dr. Joe Mellion! This family has been making smiles since 1980 and in addition to having lots of experience, each completed an orthodontic residency program after dental school. Dr. Zach and Dr. Alex have taught at Case Western Reserve University, sharing the latest advancements and technology with the next class of orthodontists! After a review of your records, an exam of your mouth will be completed by using a small mirror to see all of your teeth and evaluate how your bite fits together. From there, the doctors will explain the prescribed treatment options available to you based on their findings.

Throughout the appointment our team will answer any questions you have and ensure you are confident and comfortable in the prescribed treatment method outlined by our orthodontists!
