*NEW at BPPT*: Dry Needling for Pregnancy + Postpartum

Dr. Katie recently completed an advanced certification in Dry Needling + Pelvic Health for Pregnancy and Postpartum through .co , and is excited to bring these new techniques to our patients. This can help with common pregnancy/postpartum issues like:

🔹Neck, shoulder, and upper back tension from feeding, holding, and carrying your baby
🔹Headaches, jaw pain (TMJ), and migraines
🔹Low back, hip, and pelvic pain during pregnancy or postpartum
🔹Abdominal recovery, including C-section scar restrictions and diastasis recti (DRA)
🔹Pelvic floor symptoms like leaking, urgency, constipation, or pain with intimacy
🔹Other common pregnancy-related issues like carpal tunnel or foot pain (plantar fasciitis)

If you’re dealing with any of these symptoms, dry needling may be a helpful addition to your treatment.

Curious if dry needling is the right fit for you? Book a free 15 min discovery call to learn more, or schedule a visit at www.bostonpelvicpt.com.

When I was little, did I dream about documentation, software, and dealing with a healthcare system that doesn’t actually prioritize health? Not exactly.

I dreamed about helping people.

Yes, running a business is tough sometimes - it can be logistically complex and emotionally heavy. But when I think about it through my younger self’s eyes, she wouldn’t see the stress…she’d just be in awe of how we get to help people every day.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed or been extra hard on yourself lately, zoom out and take a look through the eyes of yourself as a kid. What would they say about the life you’ve built?

Thank you to for the beautiful inspiration for this post. Making this was surprisingly emotional in the best way 💛

Boston Pelvic PT has received 50 five-star Google reviews, and we’re really grateful. Writing a review takes time, and for a small local clinic like ours, it makes a big difference.

We also recognize that it takes vulnerability to share about your experience with pelvic health work. It’s not always easy to speak up about this topic, and we don’t take that lightly.

These reviews do more than help BPPT grow…they help other people feel less alone. Your stories show that healing is possible, that help exists, and that pelvic floor physical therapy can be compassionate, collaborative, and life-changing 💛

Thank you!

Stop chugging your water ⚠️

If you’re dealing with urinary urgency or leakage, *how* you drink fluids matters just as much as how much. Chugging large amounts all at once can overwhelm your bladder. Instead, slow, consistent sipping throughout the day helps keep your bladder hydrated and functioning well, *without* triggering urgency.

And just as important: don’t avoid fluids altogether. Dehydration can actually irritate the bladder and make symptoms worse.

Check out our blog post “8 Bladder Habits That Matter for Pelvic Health” for more simple tweaks that can make a big difference in your day to day life.

At BPPT, we talk a lot about the nervous system, because it affects *everything* else, including pelvic floor health.

Stepping away from all our digital gadgets, slowing down, and curling up with a good book is one small way we reset and practice what we teach.

Here’s what our team is reading right now. Any other recommendations?? 📚

We hear a lot of pelvic floor myths from our clients, sometimes even things they were told by other healthcare providers. It’s not surprising - there are significant gaps in standard medical training (especially when it comes to pelvic health) and so much widespread misinformation online.

That’s why our work at BPPT is as much about education and empowerment as it is about treatment (and why *we* are always continuing to learn, too)!

Have you heard any of these PFPT myths before? Or others we didn’t cover?

Bottom line: if you have a pelvic floor (you do) and something doesn’t feel right, there’s a really good chance we can help! Book your visit quickly & easily online (bostonpelvicpt.janeapp.com) or call/text (813) 540-0639 or email info@bostonpelvicpt.com with questions.
