Town of Somerville Police Department

The Somerville Police Department is now accepting applications for Certified Police Officer.The schedule is an 8 hour rotating days off schedule with nights and weekend work required.

BENEFITS

CERTIFIED Police officer pay between $56,160.00 - $62,400.00

13 paid holidays

$1,000 uniform allowance annually

State retirement TCRS with match by the Town of Somerville. An optional retirement plan is also available with matching funds.

After first full year of employment you may be eligible for college tuition reimbursement for a degree program relating to the field of law enforcement.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Eligible applicants must be certified as a police officer or post-certifiable by the Tennessee Police Officer Standards and Training Commission (P.O.S.T.), be at least 21 years of age, possess a valid driver’s license, have a high school diploma/GED, be a U.S. citizen, have no felony convictions and be able to successfully pass psychological, physical as well as a drug screen. Officers who are P.O.S.T. certified through another state who are eligible to become certified in Tennessee with a transitional class at the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy will be considered.

Fayette County Animal Rescue in Rossville, TN is looking for a part-time kennel worker (Friday option PLUS Sat & Sun, 7AM–4PM, $15–$18/hr). Must be 18+, able to lift 50 lbs, and ready to work in all weather.
