We gathered to celebrate friendships yesterday at our 901 Bar, specifically, the friendship with two of our cherished neighbors who are moving on to new adventures. We were thrilled to host local author Scovia Rushing today! She captivated our audience with a fascinating presentation about her incredible journey from South Sudan to America, which ultimately inspired her to write her books for children. Scovia's charisma and charm shone through as she shared the beautiful themes from her book, including the importance of self-love and acceptance, reminding us that everyone is a beautiful creation regardless of their skin color. She also emphasized the value of soaking in the blessings of everyday life. Her message was truly inspiring!

As we enter a season defined by gratitude and giving, we also recognize that many families are experiencing food insecurity. To help support those in need, our community is collecting non-perishable food items now through December 31. And thanks to Grace Management, Inc., every donation will be matched pound for pound (up to 100 pounds) to extend the impact even further.

Thank you to our residents, families, associates, and partners for joining us in this important effort. Together, we can help fill plates and hearts this holiday season. 💜

Independent living residents enjoyed lunch at Seasons 52 on Wednesday. The atmosphere was lovely. We particularly enjoyed the dessert presentation. Looking forward to our next lunch out this month at River Oaks in two weeks.

Residents at the Summit have regular opportunities to go shopping each week outside of the community. HOWEVER, they ALSO have stores open INSIDE the community! Last Friday ,we hosted a pop-up boutique which was a huge success. And then, the next day residents cashed in their bingo bucks at our Second Bingo Store, which was much larger than the first of these. Come over to the Summit for a tour and have some fun!
