✨Today was Hero day and we had everyone represented from Batman and Wonder Woman to our Executive Director honoring those heroes with Breast Cancer! 💖 We ended the day with a delicious Caramel Apple Bar with help from the lovely Teesha from Baptist!

Our independent living residents enjoyed a fantastic day trip to Green Frog Farms in Bells, TN, on Saturday! We had a blast joining the cotton harvester group as they gathered the cotton. The highlight tour also featured a visit to the beautifully refurbished cotton gin, a printmaking shop where a skilled printer demonstrated the old machines in action, and the charming general store, where residents discovered nostalgic items reminiscent of their parents' and grandparents' eras. Additional stops included the shoe sole shop, some log cabins, and a scenic drive by the historic church. We could not have asked for more pleasant fall weather. It was truly a day to remember!

We have been staying busy in independent living at the Summit. Among our recent calendar highlights, we had a lovely lunch at the tea parlor at Sheffield Antiques Mall, Regions Bank agents came and spoke on fraud prevention, Tuesday's 'National Parks' lecture drew a big crowd, and we are excited to have some new game groups. Painting lessons started with John Martin as well. Stay-tuned for pictures from our Saturday trip to Green Frog Farms in Bells, TN!
