Hello! My name is Kari Kent. I am a registered nurse who lives in Arlington. I have worked in the Neonatal ICU for the past 12 years, as a nurse in the unit for the past 7.5 years. I love working with babies and their families. I have been taking a break from the hospital and I miss my babies! Bringing home a newborn can be stressful on new parents. And as we know, we worry about the health and well-being of our little ones, especially if they've had a stent in NICU. I am offering a postpartum infant doula service in which I would come to your home, watch your little one while you get a nap in, a shower, house chores and/or run a much needed errand. I can also do a physical assessment for your peace of mind, and have experience in breastfeeding assistance, and many other tricks of the trade in comforting your little one I'd love to teach you! I will also be considering night nanny services a couple nights a week, we all know how much good even one night of uninterrupted sleep can do for our mental and physical health during the first few weeks.
