NLP Parts Integration
Have you ever heard someone say — or maybe you’ve said it yourself — “Part of me (believes wants to, or values ________ (one thing)) and part of me (believes, wants to, or values) ________ (something else , the opposite of the first thing)”?
That can be a problem, can’t it? Because it divides the person’s focus and energy (“where attention goes, energy flows”) making it difficult to make progress toward a goal.
That’s what NLP Parts Integration solves.
Parts Integration is a technique used in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) to address internal conflicts and contradictions, such as in an individual's beliefs, motivations, values, or behaviors.
It is used to help individuals identify and integrate conflicting parts of their personality, so that they can make more congruent decisions and take more effective actions.
It can also be used as one way of helping someone remove secondary gains (unconscious, hidden agendas / reasons that are holding the person back from getting the positive outcome that they say they want to achieve).
The technique involves identifying and communicating with the different parts of an individual's personality that are in conflict, and helping the person to reconcile them.
This is typically done by asking specific questions (taught in NLP Practitioner Certification classes) to help the client integrate the parts, and giving the client specific hypnotic suggestions near the end of the process, and other techniques, to help them complete the integration, at the level of the Unconscious Mind.
Parts Integration is a very powerful technology that can help clients achieve profound, positive, permanent life change. As such, it should only be done by a well-trained, experienced, and highly qualified, Certified NLP Practitioner.
At the NLP Practitioner skill level, Parts Integration is taught and done formally, using a script. At the Master NLP Practitioner skill level, it can be done informally, conversationally.
Parts Integration can be used to address a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, phobias, relationship problems, and more. By bringing unconscious conflicts to conscious awareness, individuals can gain a deeper understanding of their motivations and behaviors, and develop new ways of thinking and acting that are more in line with their values and goals.
The possibilities of its use are vast, and can include improving personal relationships, increasing self-confidence, reducing stress and anxiety, and enhancing personal growth and development.
Overall, Parts Integration can be a powerful tool for individuals seeking to understand and resolve internal conflicts, and to achieve greater self-awareness and personal growth.
