Within the last year it came to my attention that needleminder magnets were being sold on Etsy, Facebook, and a few other social media sites. These sellers have a very large following (over 2000) and a large variety of designs. I sampled their products and then worked to make them better. While I appreciate entrepreneurs, I appreciate having needlepoint stores and our industry wholesalers more. After negotiating with suppliers and designers, I have acquired many of the same items these sellers are offering (and designed some of my own), but I have made them all better by using high quality neodymium magnets and packaging them professionally for resale in stores. Most importantly, my negotiations are allowing me to sell them wholesale to stores at a lower wholesale price, in hopes that our stores can now compete with these interlopers. This is not a profit-making endeavor for me, and you are of course welcome to buy from whomever you like; but I would encourage you to PLEASE support your shops by buying such products from them. If you see something you are interested in on a non-needlepoint site, please contact your local shop first and see if they carry it or can get it. We now have over 150 designs of magnets, and are happy to find and acquire any that you see online and send it to the store of your choice.
