This is so beautiful to me. 🤎

I’m not just carrying remedies. I’m carrying tradition, safety, and memory.

Tucked inside my go-to bag is an amber roller bottle. A to Z Apothecary’s “Oops & Ouch.” It sits there beside my other herbal go-tos. Just part of what I carry because life happens wherever you go.

When I walked through the door at my parents’ house, my nephew showed me a scratch and asked for his “ayayayi oil.” His mom has taught him that Tia Anto’s remedies work. And he remembers. He trusts it. He believes that these oils help.

And that alone means everything to me.

But what stood out most wasn’t that he asked for it.

It’s what happened after.

We started playing like we always do. Laughing and just being silly. Then a ping pong ball hit my cheek.

Before I could say anything, he ran to my bag and said, “Wait. I have something for that.”

He started searching for his roller bottle in my bag. I let him look until he found it. I wanted him to recognize it. To know what it looks like. To know where it lives. To know he can access it.

That’s how learning starts.

In that moment, I realized I’m not just applying oils. I’m planting seeds.
