Here's something random: I got stung last night at softball. I went straight to my bag for essential oils. The only thing I had was Cool Azul Pain Relief Cream that I use on my shoulder before playing.

Since that's all I had, I put it on and went back to playing. To my amazement, there was immediate relief of the sting 😲

After the game, I took my batting glove off and you couldn't even tell I'd been stung (except for one teensy tiny pin point if you look really close).

Looks we are hitting the hot days of summer. Be sure you stay hydrated and drink lots and lots of water!

Begin your day with a full glass of water to re-hydrate your body after not having any all night.

If you are going to be out playing in the sunshine, make sure to drink a lot of water BEFORE, during and after. (You are less likely to get overheated in the sunshine if you are hydrated BEFORE you go out.)

If you do get overheated, cool compresses around the Achilles tendon is one of the fastest ways to cool your internal body temperature safely. I use 2x3 gel packs and switch them out when they get warm.

Coconut water is a great way to replace lost electrolytes and is a much healthier option than those sugar-filled drinks like gatorade or powerade! (Sugar actually dehydrates your body!)

There is no substitution for water. Drink up and stay cool!
