Coach here to educate you on the do’s ✅ and don’ts 🚫 when it comes to picking a move that’s best hypertrophy.

When deciding if a move is best for hypertrophy it comes down to these four points :

1️⃣- Does it load the targeted muscle through an active & full ROM?

2️⃣- Is it stable enough that the targeted muscle is exhausted before other muscles or your balance?

3️⃣- Does it have a high loading potential? / Can you progressively overload it?

4️⃣- Does it have a good stimulus to fatigue ratio? (Is the tension on the muscle greater than the systemic fatigue accrued?)

If it hits these 4 points, it’s probably a good move for building muscle.

But remember member fam… if a move isn’t great for hypertrophy, but it has real world application or you simply enjoy it — I believe it has a spot in your program.
