Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a proven, evidence-based approach that focuses on understanding and improving behavior through the principles of learning.

At Individual Piece, our mission is reflected in our name: we are dedicated to offering individualized ABA therapy tailored to the unique needs of each child and family. At Individual Piece ABA, we recognize that every child learns differently—which is why we create customized treatment plans designed around your child’s unique strengths, needs, and goals. Our team develops individualized programming and behavior intervention plans built to support growth in communication, social skills, daily living, and more. Most importantly, we aim to make learning fun, engaging, and meaningful. Your child will receive one-on-one support each day from a trained Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), following a personalized plan created and supervised by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Our Purpose

Our primary objective is to deliver evidence-based practices that lead to meaningful, measurable outcomes for our clients. Through individualized ABA therapy, we focus on fostering functional communication, language development, and essential skills that will contribute to a brighter future for your child. Providing ABA Services to the Lake County, Indiana Area. Services including 1:1 ABA Therapy in home, clinic (coming soon) and School. Behavior Consulting, Parent Training, Community Trainings.

🌟 RBT Spotlight: Liz 🌟

Meet Liz, an experienced RBT whose ABA journey began in 2017. Throughout her career, she has supported individuals ages 3–21 and even served as a lead RBT before briefly stepping away in 2022. It didn’t take long for Liz to realize how much she missed the joy and fulfillment that comes from working with children on the autism spectrum, and she returned to the field in December 2024 with renewed passion.

Liz is currently pursuing her Master’s in Applied Behavior Analysis and is set to graduate in April 2026! When she’s not studying or working with her clients, you can find her doing CrossFit—or celebrating newlywed life after getting married this past August. 💙✨

We are so grateful to have Liz on our team and for the heart, dedication, and experience she brings to every session!

🌟 RBT Spotlight: Chelsye🌟

Meet Chelsye, an in-school RBT who has been making a difference for the past year and a half! Her journey began as a DSP intern during her psychology studies, where she discovered a passion for helping others. That passion grew even stronger when she entered the world of ABA and began working with children with autism. Chelsye finds joy in every milestone—whether it’s helping a child transition to school or teaching daily living skills like washing their hands. Her dedication inspired her to pursue becoming a BCBA so she can continue creating meaningful, socially significant change in the lives of others.

When she’s not at work, you’ll find her studying, reading, drawing, or enjoying video games. And fun fact: her golden birthday is on the 25th this month! ✨

We’re grateful to have Chelsye as part of our team and for the heart she brings to every session. 💙

⭐ RBT Spotlight: Sarah Winn ⭐

Sarah brings a strong background in early childhood and special education, having worked as a paraprofessional, substitute teacher, and daycare teacher. Her passion for supporting children shines through in everything she does. She is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education at Western Governors University, continuing to grow her skills and deepen her impact.

🌟 RBT Spotlight: Summer 🌟

Summer began her journey as an RBT this year after working for a nonprofit that supported mothers preparing for their babies’ arrival. Through that experience, she discovered her passion for helping families and felt called to support children with autism and their loved ones. 💙

She finds so much joy in helping children grow, reach their goals, and shine in their own unique ways. Outside of work, Summer loves grabbing coffee, spending time in Bible studies with friends, and expressing her creativity through little crafts. ☕💛

We’re so grateful to have Summer on our team and can’t wait to see all the amazing things she continues to accomplish! 🌼

🌟 RBT Spotlight: Rachael 🌟

Meet Rachael! She first began working as an RBT four years ago while studying music at Valparaiso University. Her love for children quickly grew into a passion for helping them thrive through applied behavior analysis.

During her undergraduate studies, Rachael combined her two interests by researching and creating a guide for teaching music lessons to neurodivergent children—showing her creativity and dedication to inclusion. She’s grateful for all of the amazing kiddos she’s worked with, who have taught her to see the world with love and compassion. When she’s not in session, Rachael enjoys making music, getting lost in a good book, or playing video games.

We’re so thankful for Rachael’s compassion, creativity, and the positive energy she brings to our team every day! 💙

🌟RBT Spotlight: Soledad🌟

Soledad has been working in ABA for almost two years! Her passion for the field began during her junior year of high school when she attended a camp and was paired one-on-one with a child on the autism spectrum. She fell in love with learning about how he operated, his unique personality, and all his fun quirks — sparking her dedication to helping others through ABA. A fun fact about Soledad is that she’s a twin and is getting married in October! When she’s not at the clinic, she enjoys baking and cooking.

🌟 RBT Spotlight: Meet Araseli! 🌟

Araseli started her career in cosmetology but always felt like something was missing. That changed when she helped a family friend’s child with a disability and discovered the joy of watching her grow and succeed. From there, she worked with adults with disabilities, which was rewarding, but she knew her heart was truly with children. In 2023, Araseli began her journey in ABA, finding it to be the most fulfilling path yet. She loves helping children learn new skills, celebrating their progress, and knowing she’s making a lasting difference in their lives. When she’s not at work, Araseli enjoys volunteering in her church’s sensory room, connecting with children in meaningful ways, and relaxing with a good cup of coffee while praising God. ☕💙

We’re excited to kick off our new RBT Spotlight Series, where we highlight the amazing Registered Behavior Technicians who make a difference every day! 💙

✨ Cheryl’s journey began in the cafeteria of an elementary school, where her daily interactions with students sparked a passion for working with children. Her love for education grew even stronger when she became an assistant in a special education classroom. Through these experiences, Cheryl discovered her dedication to supporting young learners and helping children with diverse abilities reach their full potential. Now, as an RBT, Cheryl is excited to work one-on-one with children with Autism—helping them grow, communicate, and gain essential life skills.
