2nd Annual You Matter MIHS Lacrosse Alumni Game. ***deawareness

What a fun night at Mustang Stadium! This was our 2nd Annual You Matter Mustang Lacrosse Alumni game. So fun listening to the boys chatter, complain about being old and slow and out of shape, and seeing them see friends they hadn’t seen in a long time!

Thanks again to Shane Carson Trach Kercsmar and Lisa for organizing the whole thing. Thanks to our lacrosse coaches for supporting and reffing!

The boys were reminded in the final huddle that they all have each other to reach out to if they are ever struggling. Mustang means family. I just love our island.

We are so excited!

The “boys are back in town” and are gathering tonight for our 2nd annual You Matter MI Lacrosse Alumni Night! All “retired” MIHS lacrosse guys are invited to bring their gear and get back on the turf under the lights tonight.

It’s like a reunion and a fun way to remember Hunter plus support mental health and su***de awareness. What better way to spend the night before Thanksgiving, and a chance to get back on the field and pick up their sticks for some friendly competition!

Thanks to Shane Carson and Trach Kercsmar and Lisa for bringing this to life and making it an annual event!

One positive thing that has occured since losing Hunter…meeting some amazing moms. It’s bittersweet really. We wish we didn’t know eachother. It’s a club no one wants to be a part of. We all believe our kids are up there together cheering us on, and finagling us meeting.

Tomorrow I am walking in the Out of Darkness walk for each one of these beautiful young people.

They should all be here.
They are bright lights.
They matter.

We are planning our 2nd annual Do It For Hunter Mustang Alumni lacrosse game at MI the night before Thanksgiving. Last year was a blast so we are doing it again! If you are, or know of any former Mustang LAX players (boys only)please have them reach out to Shane Carson or Trach Kercsmar, or message here. We need to know by tomorrow if you would like to play so that we can order shirts. There is no cost to play, just come have fun with your fellow “retired” LAX teammates the night before Thanksgiving.
