ForzaCare

ForzaCare Results-driven case management solutions Behind every movement, there is a moment. In Italian, ‘Forza’ means strength or force.

ForzaCare’s moment began in 2022 when we were founded with the goal of creating a purpose-driven culture that provides premium solutions to the markets we serve. ForzaCare helps injured persons get better faster by coordinating clinically appropriate care. Our team of nurse case managers work with claims professionals, providers and injured persons in a transparent, honest and intentional manner to keep everyone on the same page as we coordinate care and help injured employees return to work. Within our company name, forza represents the strength of our team providing encouragement to the people we work with every day. We couple that with ‘Care’ as we compassionately work to restore the lives of individuals who have been injured. ForzaCare is a purpose-driven company that is guided by our core values. Our strength doesn’t stem from a single individual or idea but from our collective team of uniquely talented individuals coming together as a greater force coming together. What actually defines a high-quality case manager?

It's more than credentials. Our parent company, Ethos, recently broke down the core traits that separate good case managers from great ones and it's worth a read for anyone who works alongside or refers to case management.

Responsiveness that keeps claims moving. Transparency that reduces friction. A proactive approach that prevents delays before they happen. Those aren't abstract values. They're the day-to-day standard our case managers hold themselves to.

A 2026 WCRI study shows an upward trend in shoulder, hip and knee replacements across workers' comp claims. This increase leads to a greater variation in where surgeries occur, who receives them, and how those decisions shape claim cost, disability duration and revision rates.

As these procedures become more common, clinical oversight plays a critical role. Nurse case managers help to ensure treatment plans are appropriate, coordinated and aligned with evidence‑based musculoskeletal care, especially when comorbidities or extended recovery timelines are part of the picture.

For claims teams tracking emerging patterns in surgical utilization, the full WCRI report offers valuable insight into what’s changing and why it matters.

April is Stress Awareness Month.

In workers' comp, stress doesn't stay in the background. It slows healing, complicates treatment, and can turn a manageable claim into a prolonged one.

Psychosocial barriers such as fear of re-injury, financial pressure, relationship strain are present in more claims than most people realize. And they rarely resolve on their own.

Our nurse case managers are trained to identify these barriers early and connect injured workers with the right support they need. Because recovery isn't just physical.

This month, we honored the women who lead and shape our industry. We explored the complexity of TBI claims through a three-part series. And we continue to show up every day for the injured workers who need us most. Thank you for following along.

TBI recovery is unpredictable enough on its own. The care plan shouldn't be.

Think...Consistency.

Our nurse case managers apply the same evidence-based clinical standards to every TBI claim. Injured workers get consistent support, adjusters get defensible decisions, and recovery stays on track.

Many employers don’t realize that relatively simple accommodations can make the difference between a successful return to work and a failed one after a brain injury.

• Rest breaks during the day.
• Written instructions instead of verbal.
• Reduced exposure to noise or bright lighting.
• Temporary reassignment from safety-sensitive tasks.
• An adjusted schedule for medical appointments.

These aren’t special arrangements , they’re the conditions for sustainable recovery. And a nurse case manager is the one who translates medical restrictions into language the employer can work with.

When a worker is recovering from a TBI, they shouldn't have to be their own care coordinator.

They're managing symptoms, appointments, paperwork, and fear. Often while the providers around them aren't communicating with each other.

That's where our nurse case managers step in. They create alignment across the full care team so the injured worker can focus on one thing: getting better.

A worker is discharged from the ER after a head injury with a list of specialists to follow up with and a stack of paperwork she can’t make sense of. Her employer wants a return date. Her adjuster needs a treatment plan. Her husband wants to know if she’ll be okay. No one is coordinating the answers. That is, until a nurse case manager enters the picture.

Part 2 of our TBI series explores the day-to-day work of nurse case management in brain injury claims: the clinical coordination, the family education, the behavioral health integration, and the relationship-driven work that holds it all together.

Today we celebrate the nurses who anchor every part of the recovery journey.

Certified Nurses Day is a moment to recognize the clinical excellence, steady judgment, and compassion that define our team. Their certifications reflect more than credentials. They represent years of experience, rigorous training, and a commitment to doing what’s right for injured workers and the professionals who support them.

At Forza, our nurses bring clarity to complex decisions, continuity to fragmented care, and confidence to every stakeholder involved in a claim. Their work shapes outcomes in ways that are both measurable and deeply human.

To every certified nurse on our team and across the industry, thank you for the expertise and heart you bring and the impact you make every day. Your leadership moves recovery forward. ♥️

“Traumatic brain injuries don’t follow a predictable path. When we get involved early, we’re not just coordinating care. We’re giving someone the confidence that they’re not navigating this alone.”
