🌟 Success Spotlight: Erin’s Back-to-Strength Story! 🌟

Help us celebrate Erin’s incredible progress as she graduates from physical therapy! 🎉

Erin came to us with persistent right-sided low back pain that made daily activities like sitting, bending, lifting, and even simple transitions like getting out of a chair or car difficult. The pain would fluctuate, at times reaching severe levels, and significantly limited her comfort and confidence with movement.

Through consistent effort and commitment to her recovery, Erin stayed engaged in her program and trusted the process. We focused on improving her core strength, hip stability, and lumbar mobility to help reduce stress on her low back and restore function.

The results speak for themselves:

✅ Pain reduced from 6/10 to 0/10
✅ Improved lumbar mobility and flexibility without pain
✅ Strength restored to 5/5 in bilateral lower extremities
✅ Returned to daily activities like sitting, bending, and twisting without limitations

Erin now demonstrates full control and confidence with her movements and is back to doing the things she enjoys without pain holding her back.

Congratulations, Erin! Wishing you continued strength, health, and success. Keep up the great work with your Home Exercise Program (HEP)! 💪

Heat or ice? 🤔 We get this question all the time.

Here’s a simple rule of thumb:
❄️ Use ICE for new injuries, swelling, or sharp inflammation especially within the first 24–72 hours.
🔥 Use HEAT for muscle tightness, stiffness, or chronic aches.

Ice helps calm things down.
Heat helps loosen things up.

Using the wrong one usually won’t cause damage, but it can slow down recovery. If you’re not sure what your body needs, that’s where we come in 💪

Have a specific injury you’re dealing with? Drop it in the comments or send us a message. We’re happy to help.

Physical therapy is more than just an appointment. For many patients it becomes a season of rebuilding 💪

You might be coming in a few times a week, doing stretches and exercises at home, and learning new ways to move. Some days feel encouraging and some feel frustrating, but the small wins start to add up. Less pain getting out of bed. More confidence on the stairs. Getting back to the activities you enjoy.

Mental health plays a role too. Healing from an injury can be stressful, and stress can slow progress by increasing muscle tension and fatigue. Supporting your body with sleep 😴 good nutrition 🥩 hydration 💧 and a positive mindset can make a big difference during recovery.

PT is a partnership and the habits you build outside the clinic help fuel the results.

💬 If you’ve been through PT before, what surprised you most about the process? https://msptla.com/physical-therapist-appointment/?utm_source=pes_custom&utm_medium=social
