happy weekend 💙💛 I feel like almost everyone on here is some sort of a Boston streaker, but for all of you doing it for the first time: enjoy every second of these days! It’s an exhilarating event and a true celebration of being a part of the running community. Stay conservative during the first half of the race, don’t stress the hills—they honestly aren’t so bad (this is coming from someone who trained completely on the flat roads & I barely noticed them!), and absorb the energy on that last stretch down Boylston Street!

I’m sorta a one-and-done kinda girl when it comes to the majors, but maybe I’ll do it again one day 🧐 we’ll see!

It’s all about the time on your feet 👣 When long runs get loooooooooong, it can feel never ending😫 I break up almost all of my runs into segments — in my mind and in my watch (I cannot look at the time/miles go from zero to hours/double digits! I’ll literally program my long run as 10-30 minute intervals 😆) And yes I do have long runs where I end up walking, not because I can’t get it done running, but because I’m mentally not in the mood 👀 NOT walking though is always a goal!

What strategies do you use for super long runs that are a struggle to finish?

half 34 complete ✅ what a fun race! It was my last opportunity to squeeze in a fast half before summer & Berlin training starts. Starting some structured training again the last 2 months after almost a year of free-styling and running for other reasons than to get faster, I’m pretty happy with where I’m at.

I have a goal to not quit on PR training this year, so please all of you call me out and give me sh*t if I do!! 😜

you put on an amazing event and I’ll definitely keep this one on my schedule as a regular every year!
