long run ✅ yeah, it was just 5 days post half marathon, but legs are were feeling decent so I went for a lil workout. I’m still debating whether to sign up for another half in mid-April. I kinda wanna focus on my base building for summer marathon training but I kinda wanna take advantage of 1 more race before the season’s over — I would really love to get my fastest half finish since I started racing again these last 2 years … what do I do?! 😭🥸

Anyways…
It’s Saturday which means just some easy miles and rest for the next 2 days 🎉

What spring races do you have on deck?

Race day at the 305 Half Marathon just hits different. 🏃🏽‍♀️☀️ The energy, the community, and those finish line feelings never get old. I kept my routine simple, fueled up—with of course, and soaked in every moment from the corrals to the post-race celebration. My 33rd half marathon is complete 🥇 Loved seeing Chiquita Banana out at the 305 Half & 5K keeping runners energized all morning. Bananas are such an easy win on race day — quick carbs, gentle on the stomach, and perfect for both pre-run fuel and post-race refueling 💛 make sure you’re following along at for all of their banana shenanigans 🍌

This weekend was more than just miles. 💛

DCC XVI brought together runners, survivors, families, doctors, researchers, and supporters — all moving for something bigger than ourselves.

I ran the 5K surrounded by the most incredible energy, then spent the morning at the post-race festival learning more about the groundbreaking work happening at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center ().

One of my favorite parts was the scavenger hunt — such a fun and interactive way to learn about the research and care programs at Sylvester and see how they are actively supporting cancer survivors.

Events like this remind me that progress in cancer research is powered by real people, real stories, and real support.

Grateful to be part of something that turns movement into momentum. 💛🏃🏽‍♀️

Half marathon #33 ✅ I don’t have any other races lined up until September so I knew if I didn’t go hard and run my best yesterday I would have regretted it. It was nice and warm and extremely humid—I was drenched after my 8 min warm up 😅 but as always it was a super fun course! The last half mile or so was different this year and I actually loved it—so many more people cheering you on and helping ya finish strong 🫶🏼

I like to eval my races—what I did well and what could have been better. The good 👉🏼 I was proud of myself for working hard on staying conservative most of the time so I didn’t burn out climbing that last monster bridge. I actually got a second wind after that! Do better 👉🏼 not be on my feet for so long the day before. I had an event that included a 5k AND walking around for a couple of hours. Without that stress, maybe I would’ve been able to race 1-2 mins faster?? We will never know 🙃

Hamstrings are sore as they always are after races, but other than that I feel good and ready to continue building 🏃🏻‍♀️ looking forward to holding on to good mileage this spring!

How many medals are you planning on collecting this year?

Winter training isn’t just about the weather — it’s about load 🏃🏻‍♀️ Even in Miami, mileage builds, workouts intensify, and small aches can turn into real injuries if you’re not proactive. As a physical therapist and distance runner, I focus on supporting the tissue I’m stressing most so I can stay consistent through the season. PRO tape has been one of the tools I use during higher-volume weeks to keep my knees feeling supported while I continue to build strength and speed—and the limited edition Team USA Tape is perfect to keep me motivated to train like the pros 🇺🇸⛷️

KT Tape works by temporarily increasing blood flow to the area to help reduce soreness and pain. It stays put thanks to the extreme water-resistant adhesive 🙌🏼

Train hard — but recover smarter 💥
