The longer I’m a parent, the more I believe our children teach us wayyyyyy more than we could ever teach them 💖
The more difficult their challenges may seem, the more lessons were meant to learn.
This guy continues to teach me so much!

One of his many great lessons is always bring happiness + fun to EVERYTHING. Make sure to leave ppl with a smile, and always try to bring happiness to everyone you encounter. Yes that’s one of his lessons :)

Even though he must have been in a lot of pain, he made sure to bring a smile to everyone he encountered first thing on a Monday morning 💖

He always calms me, but he also calms strangers.

He insisting on making the radiologist feel good, as well as each receptionist, aid or attendant, even the security guard. We couldn’t leave until he got a smile out of everyone. Including the worried grandmother in the waiting room, not quite sure what language she spoke. But he got a 😃 from her too.

This one is my biggest lesson in life. Even when I seem impatient, stressed or tired, I Thank you for all you teach me. KOBI💖

Do you agree?? What have your kids taught you???

Today is a different type of MOTIVATION MONDAY ✨

Today marks the anniversary of my grandfathers passing (yahrzeit) and there are truly no words I could use to express his greatness. I really appreciate all his students reaching out, and sharing the impact he and my grandmother have had on their lives. We know how fortunate we were to grow up learning from them. He valued learning torah, speaking the Hebrew language, good deeds, and above all else striving to be a good person. May we all strive to do at least one of those today today, in his honor. May his neshama have an Aliyah.

It feels like I always need more time in my day, but I’m only getting these “snacks” of time. Waiting for kids to dress themselves, waiting at carpool, those 5-10 minutes between things. Not quite enough time to get in a exercise class or do anything that feels productive. But when we’re so starved for time, we find ourselves using these snacks for social media? Or YouTube. Usually mindless scrolling.
What if you kept a list on your of things that could get done in those little pockets of time that would help cross things if your list?
What if you just did 2 min of squats, instead of scrolling through everyone in their post workout glows?
Or took the time to drink some water?put on a good song, or even reach out to a friend?

Health coaches help you to figure out your own list, so instead of feeling meh from scrolling through your time snacks. You can feel energized and productive, or refreshed, you can actually get what you need from them!

Happy New Year🥳 Hope everyone had a great weekend recharging off line + celebrating with family + friends 💖🎉

You may be surprised that as a trainer + health coach Im actually not a big Jan 1st resolution fan..

Im a big healthier habits can always… but for when YOU feel that push, that motivation. Not when you’re told you “should” be doing it. But I’ve always needed to be a bit against the grain 🙃

If you feel the push, the motivation to change a habit (or 5) that are no longer serving who you want to be. GO FOR IT!

My tips:
1) keep it simple. Like REALLLY SIMPLE.
2) adapt it for YOU. 5am club may not be ok if you’re up all night with kids. Long AM routine may not work if your morning is full of kids needing breakfast, help getting dressed, making lunches and school drop offs. But that doesn’t mean you can’t find another way to get some helpful structure.
3) plan for the mishaps. Go going in there will be ALOT of times you aren’t able to stick to ur new habits. Mentally plan for them, excuse them and keep going!

What are you looking to improve RIGHT NOW?
- sleep routine? - water consumption? - reducing sugar? Reducing alcohol/ substances? - improving quality family time? - making time for friends/partner? - prioritizing self needs??

Comment below or dm if you want to keep it private but accountable ! 🙏

Here’s to 2022 🎊

In honor of my birthday, my quarterly reminder to go get your skin checked!

Skin cancer is real and the best protection is PREVENTION! It takes a maximum 15 minutes to save your life!
I got my first melanoma diagnosis at 27. I was a young mom of 2 kids, with a tiny pink speck on my chest. Lucky for me I had an intuition to just “get it checked” and so began my now, life long journey. Most people only need to go 1x a year. Early detection is KEY, and will save your life.

I am forever grateful for the recommendation to Dr Aber, as she has found all my subsequent melanomas. Sent the biopsies to the best pathologists, and always recommended the best course of action.
I continue to see her every 3 months so if there is something we please gd, find it early enough that it’s just another life battle scar, and nothing more 🙏
If you have any questions, please reach out! I am so happy to discuss anything and everything skin cancer related. If you do nothing else, just get your skin checked!
Happy Tuesday :)

“Do less, no really LESS.”
As a trainer + health coach clients are always surprised to hear me repeating this - over + over

Less intensity to our workouts. Less workouts (sounds crazy right?)
Less emphasis on eating right (maybe even crazier).
But honestly this is where my job is. Helping you find that perfect place of just the right amount of effort to maximum your results.

Most of my day is spent telling ppl to sleep in rather than force the 4 mile run before dropoff. I’ve said over and over, “ I’m not your typical trainer.” “I’m not the dietician.”

I won’t tell you 10 more won’t kill you. Because it might actually cause inflammation. You might be forcing those last 3 reps and your form will suffer. You’ll wonder why your neck, shoulder or back feels off. You’ll just think, maybe u slept weird.

Maybe yours just doing too much. I don’t think any of us truly need someone to tell us to do more.

We are all doing too much already. We need someone who will help us w**d out the unnecessary.

Unnecessary stress+ energy on eating “clean”
On the scale, on working out hard enough, long enough.

You’d be amazed what simply intuitive eating + short workouts can do for your mind body + soul.

So I urge you to try it out. For your clients, for your family’s sake, but most importantly for your OWN sake. Bc there’s so much MORE to life than counting calories or macros, feeling deprived + binging or wearing yourself down so you’ve got nothing left in the tank for those you love most 💖💖💖 Happy monday - to a week of less
