Sonia Petecka I am a Subconscious Reprogrammer, PSYCH-K® Facilitator, Human Design Expert, Mindset Coach, as well as a Kundalini Yoga and Meditation Teacher.

I help professionals & teams improve performance & create sustainable success & wellbeing through leadership training, coaching, Subconscious Reprogramming with PSYCH-K®, Human Design, Breathwork & Kundalini Yoga and Meditation I am originally from Poland and moved to the US when I was 16. I have an MBA from New York University focusing on Strategy and Global Business as well as a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and French from Tufts University. I also have over 3 years of experience working in immunology research at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women’s Hospital as well as 5.5 years experience in corporate technology sales and relationship management. I healed myself from depression and low self esteem through focusing on living in alignment with my Human Design, mindset shifts, spiritual practices, tools like breathwork as well as lifestyle changes. I am passionate about helping people overcome fear and limiting beliefs in order to create lives and businesses they love, which is why I started my coaching business in 2015. In 2018 I discovered the power of Human Design and started offering readings to my clients. In 2021, I also incorporated reprogramming subconscious limiting beliefs with PSYCH-K® into my services. I moved to Miami in 2020 fulfilling my lifelong dream of living in a warm climate, near the beach.

So many women want to live a different way now

Without the 24/7 pressure and hustle

Honoring our cycles, our bodies, and our feelings

Getting out of survival so we can finally just be and know that what we do isn’t what makes us worthy

Being able to dedicate our energy to relationships, love and nurturing

Perhaps being provided for financially so we can create without the pressure to monetize our gifts

This requires us to break free from the programming we received

We need to know that our power lies beyond achievement and doing, it’s in our ability to slow down and just be, to be present in our bodies, to feel, and access our intuition

We need to tend to our needs so that we can feel safe, soften, and relax

We need to prioritize our self care and rest so that we can actually experience joy and inspiration

This is courageous in a world that keeps telling us to keep pushing

I believe a different way that truly honors women and the feminine is possible and available to us

We just need to be brave enough to claim it and create it

And as women shift, men are also called step up to lead, protect, and provide

▪️Get into a truthful relationship with FOMO - it’s not real, it’s just a mind story:

It can be a voice appearing and saying “what if I’m missing an opportunity by staying home?” or “what if people are having more fun at a different party?” or “I always end up at the event that sucks”

Or it can be a video playing a scenario where people are having fun somewhere else

▪️The same goes for judgments of other people - sometimes it’s just a voice that says “I can’t believe they’re wearing that” or “they are so annoying”

And for “insecure” thoughts “why did I just say that?” or “I feel like and idiot/ like I made a fool of myself” or “I screwed up again”

These are not your thoughts, they’re not you, they’re appearances, they don’t mean anything about you and are most likely not true

▪️Similarly get in a truthful relationship with emotions and sensations

Instead of relating to what your feeling in the old way:

“I feel ____ (stressed, overwhelmed, anxious) and it feels bad”

Try putting the name of the emotion and the judgment that it’s “bad” away for a moment, tune in and see how the energy is moving internally

Notice the pure raw experience of the emotion - maybe the energy is moving fast, it’s zoomed in and sharp or maybe it’s heavy

Know it’s just energy moving in a unique way

One of my mentors used to say that as long as you really want something to change it likely won’t…

He was talking about the desperate energy that we often operate from when we need something to be different than it is right now to be ok

Anyone can feel good and peaceful when things are going the way they want

The real mastery comes from finding peace when things are not going as we would prefer them to

So can you find peace with the “negative” things and situations in your life?

Because when you no longer need them to be different, they often change more easily

When you soften the resistance, things shift

When you aren’t fighting it, it transforms

That’s where I help people get to - peace where there was once stress and tension

This weekend I painted for the first time since I was a child

I did it mostly because my mentor encouraged me to do it

I just let myself be guided intuitively without needing it to be good or really be anything

No goals, just following my inspiration

It felt uncomfortable and at the same time exhilarating and liberating

The productivity and survival programming is strong in my Polish upbringing

Which makes sense considering when you look at the history of Poland - the country regained independence in 1918 (after over a hundred years of basically not existing), then World War II happened followed by decades of communism…

If you sat around creating art that wasn’t going to make you money or somehow help your survival, you were considered lazy

Art felt frivolous and like a luxury

It was meant for others, not me

I had to be practical, focus on being responsible

Which led to a pretty joy-deficient life experience, where I had to escape the heaviness through distractions

Now I’m focusing on nurturing and nourishing myself

Allowing myself more play

Even when it doesn’t feel like it’s productive or “responsible”

I commit to my joy

And somehow deep down I know that that’s the most responsible choice

We never know what the energy that we liberate being creative with no purpose can shift

Take a minute to reflect:

What are you holding yourself back from engaging with because it wouldn’t be responsible?

What are you avoiding exploring because it’s not productive?

It might just hold the key to transforming what you haven’t been able to change by being serious and disciplined

It might give you a new perspective

It might unlock energy that’s been dormant for a long time

Is quality sleep a high priority for you?

It is for me

As I started being more aware of and present in my body

I saw that if I didn’t sleep well, I couldn’t be as present as I wanted with others and do my best work

I learned that body is sensitive and I need to honor it otherwise I cannot perform at my highest level

This is why I also choose not to drink and am currently not having caffeine (this doesn’t work for everyone)

I started tracking my sleep and learned my ideal is being asleep before 11 pm and till around 7 am

It takes my mind a while to process the day, relax and fall asleep so I need to get in bed around 9 pm to wind down

Being able to go to bed around 9 pm most nights meant that I also had to eat earlier

I started eating dinner around 5-6 pm so my body had plenty of time to digest and wind down

Last night a friend invited me to dinner at 7 pm and I ate late, not honoring my ideal meal time

I got home and had trouble falling asleep as my body was still digesting

I woke up several times and couldn’t fall back asleep

I didn’t feel rested in the morning

In the past I would have beaten myself up way more, however now I relate to it as learning for the future

I was reminded how important it is to follow my own rhythm and not try to fit into other people’s rhythms

Next time I would eat dinner at home at my ideal time and just go to be social

It’s not about getting to a perfect place where we never go against our body’s ideal schedule, but about honoring it more and more

And forgiving ourselves quickly when we slip

Each person has a unique circadian rhythm they need to get to know and honor if they want to perform at their best

As a coach, I help my clients listen to and learn what their bodies need and hold them accountable about living in alignment with their unique rhythm

If they are meant to thrive on a routine, I help them design one

What sensations are present for you right now?

Is there tightness in your jaw or chest?

Maybe tension in the neck or shoulders?

Heaviness or pressure in your head?

What if you didn’t judge them as bad or wrong?

What if you just felt them fully?

It takes slowing down

Most of us live in our heads, running away from what’s present

The mind convinces us that we’re only safe and in control when we’re analyzing, intellectualizing and planning

When we live only in the mind, we cut ourselves off from our intuition and what’s authentic for us

And we eventually burn out

And then we want numb out

We lose sight of our truth

Recently I was at a social gathering and I felt tired and drained

I didn’t want to be present with this sensations

It was easier to be in my head

But because I have practiced being present in my body over the years, I knew I needed to take some time to myself to breathe and center, to tune into myself

I realized what my body was asking for was to go home and rest

It might sound simple

Yet in the past I would have probably ignored my body’s messages, thinking I should push through and maybe would have had a drink to escape the uncomfortable sensations

I have been able to transform my life and help my clients’ transform theirs over the last 10 years because I stopped listening to the mind as much and focused on feeling what is true for me

So much wisdom is available to us when we are fully present in our bodies

Our decisions are meant to be made by tuning into the response of the body and not by always following what makes logical sense

The mind has access to a limited number of scenarios

By accessing the wisdom beyond the mind, we have access to infinite possibilities

I teach my clients how to connect to their unique flavor of intuition, which lives in the body so that they can create positive shifts in their lives

Inside my one on one coaching, I help you practice listening to the voice of your most authentic self every day so that you can create a life that feels more joyful, which leads to improved results and performance

My Story

My mission is to help people connect to who they authentically are and start creating a life that feels abundant and fulfilling. According to my Human Design, I need my energy to move outward and provoke talent, leadership, purpose and spirit in others. My passion is working with people one on one and customizing the tools I use to each person's unique needs.

I was born in and grew up in Poland and moved to the US when I was 16. Early childhood trauma made me sensitive to the suffering of others and made me want to help people and make the world a better place.

Initially, trying to please my family, I decided to become a medical doctor. I went to Tufts University, I was premed and studied Biochemistry and French Literature and spent a wonderful yet challenging year abroad in Paris. While working doing immunology research after college I realized medicine and research were not my passions. Listening to my intuition and what felt exciting to me, I decided to move to New York City. Tired of barely making ends meet on a researcher's salary, I decided to go to business school. I went to NYU Stern and graduated with an MBA focusing on strategy, global business and finance.

During my time in business school when I was very stressed out, insecure and struggling with my personal relationships, I discovered and started practicing Kundalini Yoga and Meditation.
